Slacking on release time for DS content

Did they ever actually give a release time for this drop?
I understand that we all, including myself, assumed it was coming out at the normal time but I looked and did not see anything actually stating that time. They gave a heads up on X about 20 minutes before the normal time.
Also, didn't they say at one point that they had to wait on some official pictures from MLB for one of the previous rounds? This could be something outside of their control. Maybe not though. None of us will ever probably know.
