The Final Insult from SDS

Someone explain this to me. SDS is still gatekeeping some of the best Live Series cards, like Aaron Judge. I heard people say that we shouldn’t expect to be able to complete the live series too quickly because cards like the Carlos Beltran and Roger Clemens cards were ‘endgame level’ cards.
The Aaron Judge live series card is still extremely rare. On the market as of yesterday it was still going for 400,000 stubs. I was FINALY able to afford it (since I now know I will never actually pull it), and here was my reward for the 400,000 stubs I paid:
The Aaron Judge live series card…which isn’t even the best Aaron Judge card any more
The Yankees live series collection Paul O’Neil…a completely useless card at this point
The AL East collection Darren O’Day…which isn’t even the best Darren O’Day card any more
The AL collection 99 Roger Clemens…which isn’t even a top 15 starting pitcher card any more and not a card I will likely use much
AND
The live series collection 99 switch hitting center fielder Carlos Beltran…which isn’t even the best 99 switch hitting center fielder in the game any more.So….if all those cards are now mostly obsolete, WHY IS SDS STILL GATEKEEPING THESE LIVE SERIES CARDS? I’m sick of this [censored]. I have reached my breaking point with this game. All that work and all that saving of stubs for cards that aren’t even worth using any more. Goodbye MLB The Show. You used to be fun but are now just a time sucking grind that I just can’t handle any more.
-
I think Beltran and Roger are at least top 3 best cards at their positions, but yea, they're doing quite the job keeping live series expensive this year. Overall it's a good thing because once they come down the game begins to fade even more.
-
This is 100% on you. If you honestly feel this way about Beltran and Roger (which I very seriously doubt) then why did you buy Judge?
-
Somebody needs to tell Judge and Ohtani to stop performing so well so that they get downgraded and become more common in packs.

Which switch hitting outfielder is better then Beltran? I'm honestly interested.

Bryan Reynolds

Bryan Reynolds
I would still say Beltran is better than Reynolds although sure Reynolds is a close second. Reynolds may have a bit more power but Beltran can steal bases, that 99 steal is incredible and Beltran still has better fielding although not by much.
-
Ill never finish the LS until they drop them way below where they are now and disappointing as a Mets fan but it is what It is
-
Reynolds is a brand new card released in basically, September.
Beltran was available since April, if you finished LS. I didn't until July. We can't fault SDS on him being so-called 2nd best, behind the Pirates outfielder. The gatekeeper prices are ridiculous in September, though. That is pretty messed up. -
I wish they would move on from live series collections going forward. Its stale at this point.

I would assume its by far their biggest money maker so I hope they continue it instead of making rewards elsewhere even worse.

@chrisham8380_PSN This is funny. Beltran is arguably the best OF in the game...period. Roger Clemans not top 15? Now you do sound 100% foolish. He's top 3. Randy, and Verlander MS card might be better....might. This post is 1 of 3 things, 1) A troll job, 2) you're drunk or high, 3) You are an uneducated 12 year old. Maybe even all 3.
Ultimately, you're complaining about having to buy cards you won't use....think about that.
-
Beltran, IMHO, is still the best card in the game. A speedy switch hitting center fielder that hits for power. You can’t really beat that. I have had him since April and he is STILL in my god squad line up. He is just in right field at the moment.

Yup, Beltran in RF, Reynolds in CF, Ted Williams in LF

Beltran is still the best card in the game. His attributes don't look insane necessarily but he plays way up. Clemens is still a top 5 starting pitcher. HOWEVER, you are right, SDS is being very stingy indeed with keeping Live Series prices sky-high.

Imagine if they gave everyone a free Aaron Judge LS in the 7th Inning Reward path.
How many torches and pitchforks would be raised from everyone who acquired him earlier?
-
I was finally able to pull Judge playing Conquest, Neon series and Multiplayer Events. Im just waiting in Ohtani for another 6 months Lol
-
SDS also does not have direct control over market prices. They will sometimes up the supply of high diamond live series cards with flash sales, but otherwise, the market is just supply and demand.

He may very well still be the best performing player in the game (I won't dispute that) but when it comes to just looking at his attributes some of the other CF options have him beat. But of those only Bernie Williams is also a switch hitter
Bernie has better contact, Vis, disc and Clt
Beltran has better power, all fielding attributes, and all Baserunning attributes. So it's understandable if someone has not used all of these cards that they could come to the conclusion that Beltran has been surpassed. Especially when you look and see that Bernie can be purchased for under 100K and just Judge and Ohtani alone can cost over 700K if you are not lucky enough to pull them

Technically for that 700K; you get way more than Beltran.
