For all you guys stating you are happy with the rewarding experience you are getting on great input. Great for you guys. Google reviews and the majority of the community are experiencing something completely different. So consider yourselves the lucky ones.

@Ditka06_MLBTS You don’t seem to know what gaslighting means. Calling out people lying about their results is not gaslighting. In fact, it’s calling out other people gaslighting this issue. I’m curious, did you play ranked last year because it doesn’t look like it based on your profile.
-
@Ditka06_MLBTS Based on complaints, it’s always going to seem like it’s a majority because that’s why people typically leave reviews and come to forums to lodge their complaints. What quantifiable evidence do you have the majority of people are unhappy with the hitting this year? A vocal minority is not the same thing as a majority.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN I did play ranked last year. And the three previous years before. Not sure why its not showing my previous years stats? I already told you I dont mind your argument as it pertains to people exaggerating.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN the complaints and the constant line drives right to an out fielder on almost perfect inputs. That i see for myself on a regular basis. And it doesnt just happen sometimes. It happens all the time.
-
@Ditka06_MLBTS Weird. I’m only asking because I’m curious what your stats were like last year compared to this year, and I don’t see any for last year.
-
@Ditka06_MLBTS Almost perfect is subjective and this certainly isn’t quantifiable proof. It’s just how you feel.

Thanks. I wanted to say the same to @Ditka06_MLBTS … In addition: There is also a thing called recency bias … not calling you out on that, but I see that here very often. People have 2-3 „bad outcomes“ … result: everything is bad … always … or somebody is lucky/unlucky … always….
Nobody here has real statistical evidence of how good or bad something is. It is just - more often than not - just a personal observation that depends on the connection / system / difficulty / user input (both) and probably many more variables … My observation happens to be more positive than the previous years have been. And that is not because I succeed more (I win kinda the same percentage of games each year), but because the game plays more realistic (in my personal view)

@YOSHI24_XBL brother im not dumb. I know what recently being biased means. This has been happening all year. And i see it almost every game. And when a player is using the shift certain cards hit right into that shift almost everytime. Please do not discount what im seeing. Im a pretty level headed dude. If it happened once in a while I wouldn't care at all. And I also know what almost perfect hitting inputs look like.
-
Speaking of regency bias I did notice, while looking at game logs earlier, that this post was seemingly made directly after a loss by the OP where two of the 4 perfect perfect outs happened in consecutive innings

Sorry, I could not read your mind … Just reacting and put some more information in this good (at least imo) discussion. But let‘s settle on „we disagree“ , because I do not see it every game and I do think that we have more of a recency bias than „gameplay“ problem
-
@YOSHI24_XBL there is a game play issue. 1000 percent with hitting. Doesnt matter a few of your opinions. If there was an actual way to prove it and investigate it. I would bet $10,000 dollars on it.

We are not in this „there is somebody wrong in the internet“-thing, are we? This is where discussion stops for me, have fun debating your opinion with only the guys who agree with you (no offense)
-
@YOSHI24_XBL because there is no debate. We dont need to prove it. We just know. Majority of us have been playing this game long enough to know. So sorry man. Just do not want to debate something that I know.

@Ditka06_MLBTS
What is the issue with the hitting? You have been saying it all year, but you never really say what the issue is. Some proof would also be helpful. -
@Talkingben9558_XBL he can’t tell ya, he “just knows”.
-
@Talkingben9558_XBL let me explain. This is all based off very good input swings so keep that in mind. And im speaking about online play. And im not stating anything others are not saying about how unrewarding hitting has become. The way line drives magically go right to a fielder more times than not. The exit velocity issues, feeling like you are swinging under water, the server issues making it worse depending on who you play,, balls hanging in the air way too long on what looks like a line drive, or dying at the warning track, the almost certain double play when a runner is on first base or runners on base, the shift, and the almost certainty of hitting the ball directly at the shifted fielders, can I prove it. No. All I can tell you is my experience. And yes this is baseball and these things happen. But this is over and over and happens way more than it should in a video game. My experience is the same with the majority of Google reviews and what others are saying in general.
-
Good input results in a hit of some sort at least 70% of the time. Perfect-perfects result in a hit at least 85% of the time. Bad input results in a hit maybe 20% of the time. These are just educated estimations, I don't have this info for sure, but it sounds right, no? How hard is it comprehend that simply good inputs usually result in hits? There is no issue in terms of input, so I don't get why we can't handle this situation like grown men. Obviously, it is frustrating when your opponent's getting the weak hits and you are barreling up the ball only to find someone's glove EVERY [censored] TIME! I get it, but that's just baseball.

“Harris had Atlanta’s two hardest-hit balls Monday — 111.2 and 109.4 mph exit velocity — and both went for outs despite expected batting averages of .670 and .640. That continued a trend for the center fielder, who had 25 outs on balls hit 105 mph or higher before Tuesday, fifth-most in the majors. The MLB average on balls put in play at 105 mph or higher is .663, while Harris’ average was .551.
You can hit it as hard as you can sometimes,” Snitker said, “but you can’t do anything about where (defenders) are at.”
P/P in this game are right around .800, by conservative estimates.
I do agree the DPs have spiked by a lot this year.

@GoozeFn_PSN I don’t think it’s just how he “feels” … watch any streamer or listen to us on here the hitting engine is off. I’ve finished games 3-24 or something along those lines on goods. I do think the servers and or connection have more to do with it than anything but for me as well as Gooze it sounds like a good percentage of our “good” contact with a good amount of pop off the bat wind up right into a glove. It’s a bit silly. Then ur opponent can dink late and early hits in the gab while ur infield doesn’t run after the ball but try’s to make some silly slow motion super man dive at it. These are things I would imagine are easily fixed but they never do
