One big win for TA

@GoldenGamingKM_PSN Maybe spend a few less hours watching social media and cable news to free up some time. You're not actually "seeing" any of this, you're being told this is happening, like you were told people's dogs and cats were being eaten.
People aren't living on unemployment that pays less than half what they made working, and If you knew someone who is disabled, who has ever dealt with trying to get disability, you'd know it's not a process you can just waltz through.
-
I think it's a W. I play a lot and that 150.000 still won't take me to the All-Star voucher. I'm still gonna need quite a bit of work in June. I can't imagine how far behind casual gamers are. I get it I'm being greedy and trying to do every single team and keep them all around the same percent complete but I kind of hit a wall recently losing the will to grind. This kind of gave me a reboot.

A thousand likes. Although my teaching job was tough at times, it was nice having my own house and car. Giving up my car, moving back in with my parents for the first time in 25 years, and knowing I could die any month now is NOT FUN!
@GoldenGamingKM_PSN probably thinks Fox News is too liberal. They probably get their "news" from alternative fringe "news" sources.
And like he said, going through applying for disability was not easy or fun. Even with an obvious condition like cancer, it was still difficult to get. And I get paid less than a third of what I used to make. So not a great life.

I don’t care if people view it as a positive or a negative as I just view it as yet another example of failure by SDS. It’s a clear admission that their original design decisions of My Journey were never going to align with most people’s playing habits. They knew it was hard as they intentionally made it ridiculously long, only to now back away from it once the potential consequences of it being hard were becoming apparent. And people that it helps will give them credit and be positive when it really should just result in asking, “Why does this stuff keep happening every year? How many times do the content/design teams get to make the same mistakes, not learn from them, and keep getting to do their jobs?”
FYI, SDS, you should have put a collection for 40,000 points in the Color Storm programs where anyone that actually did the long grinds could collect the AS voucher for the 40,000. You’re letting everyone else fast track to catch up while giving absolutely no reward to the people that actually did the grind that you told us we’d have to do.
And that’s always the problem with you guys desperately trying to fix your mistakes. You never make everyone right. You always screw one group over.

I consider myself a casual player who likes to play on Rookie/veteran. This program is PERFECT for someone like me!
Put together a Phillie team with Schwarber as jolt captain. Two games vs CPU on Veteran at Coors Field and BAM: JT Realmuto is my new catcher!
Get him to 500 PXP and I can start to catch up on TA (which I’m way way way behind on)
I only have about half of the Jolt captains….

I really am holding out hope that those LS cards will drop a good deal by early next week
I posted something yesterday saying that "I have enough stubs to finish the LS collection but I'm waiting for prices to come down".
That post has not aged well.
I mean, they have to come down someday... Right? Oofff.
They will, this is why I stopped playing when they increased the cap for 90+ LS to 750. I knew Ohtani would sell for the max price and when 95s started to release he would drop his price.
I had to get Treinen so I did that program today. I’ll be looking at the market from my phone, these prices have to come down a little with the packs that will get open in the next few days.

Well...here are my thoughts. I have all 30 jolt cards (Spring Break grind). That took planning and a whole lot of conquest, mini seasons and DQ to do. I do feel a bit cheated in that sense. On the other hand, getting this new round of cards is much easier since having the jolt card allows you to really fast track the progress (because you can skip the pitching missions). I will easily have all 30 finest vouchers as well. With that said, hopefully this is the last TA...or at least the last TA tied to the vouchers. It's OK to make people earn things. If we all have the same cards (which has been a problem for years) then what's the point of the mode?
-
@Akhenaten1313_PSN I suppose SDS knows pretty good, where ppl are at …
At first, I thought 150K are way too much … But I think: Most of the ppl do not have all the jolts … most of them will not have the colour storm … and we will see dozens of threads with ppl complaining they did not have a chance to earn the all-star vouchers (same again with finest
).
Do not forget that you earned a lot of packs and probably made a lot of stubs with them (I did) … I will casually go for the storm cards and fill up my finest vouchers
-
@SchnauzerFace_MLBTS It's so easy to get every single teams All Star card now I'm just waiting for them to drop before I go for the last three cards I need for LS. In one day everyone that did a basic grind will be able to field two teams of better cards than all the high priced cards on the market for free. The markets going to be a bloodbath.

This is an L actually. They created a grind and then destroyed it two months later. 50K would have been fine. 150K for 500 pxp on a card they claim will take under an hour to get is just them surrendering the grind they created to no difficulty. i'll have all the finest vouchers in the next week and half now.
Soooo did you not listen at all to SDS when the explained why they chose 150k experience? They did it because they looked at the stats and saw that most (I.E. over 50%) of the community would be no where close to getting allstar cards when they dropped. Minus for teams they may have focused on. So as an example I was already at almost 400 xp for the phillies because I was running pretty much a full phillies line up for tell WC 2. But some teams I just got to the jolt and stopped using them like the white Sox. So I would have had to do nothing but grind that 1 team to get to the allstar card. This way I can run the color storm card in a couple offline modes get to 500 xp and will only need to maybe get another 10k xp to get the allstar card. They are literally trying to save people who can't grind all the time a chance to get there. Why Are we saying this is an L??
-
Because it punishes people that prioritized grinding it in order to ensure people that didn’t can still get the same rewards, as it doesn’t give any of the people that prioritized grinding it anything for actually spending the time.
If SDS says this is what you have to do, you do it, and then SDS gives the cards to everyone else too anyway, it is an L. As I said in my reply, a competent company would have given those people that did it something for actually doing it (like my suggestion of removing any grind to get the Color Storm cards). Instead, they just screw over the people that actually listened.
-
I can see how it would be disliked, but for me and others like me who don't have the same volume of time as some others, I'm kinda happy about it. That's not to say I don't wish I had that amount of time where I wouldn't need that "quick jump"
-
Friendly reminder/request for us to stay on topic in this one, folks. Thanks!
-
@RealMessiah_XBL I’m with you on this. They made a year long grind in team affinity and then blew it up because some casual players who won’t even be around in November said it was too hard.

Or don't go crazy trying to get to the end if a reward path.

It’s not really “[going] crazy” — it’s just that some of us are able to do things like hit HRs with Arraez and Siri to progress through programs.
-
I myself like it, I do play a lot and have grinded a ton to be where I am but to me it makes me relax and stop trying to fit in team affinity grinds every game when truly I’d like to just play with a singular theme team. Knocking out color storm and the TA bonus gives a crapton of packs - especially with the 5X HR xp boost - to open and get me closer to Beltran. Once I’m done with all TA I can focus on just playing online ranked with the team I want. I understand the gripe that people don’t like everyone getting the vouchers but there’s already 1,000 cards in the game and you can only use 25 of them. Who cares if everyone has them. Keep the gated cards as BR or WS rewards and let people who don’t have as much free time finish the TA grind so they can get cards they wouldn’t normally have the time yo get access to. Especially theme team players. For me it’s more about getting the plethora of packs to sell cards to optimize my theme team.

And in which stadium did you play your games?

If the difference between you and someone who went 50x flawless in 24, consistently makes WS, and consistently goes to the top of the event leaderboard is the ballpark that you’re playing in, you should probably switch ballparks already.

You didn't answer my question.
