SDS just hates the Phillies Period.. there Dodgers and Yankee lovers lmao

*they're

I mean they can't even supercharge him? He tied the Phillies franchise record with 9 strikeouts in his MLB debut and outduled Paul Skenes
-
He didn’t outduel Skenes. I watched the game. Skenes played a much better team and gave up one run on three fluke singles and pitched a cg. Able was stout, but the pirates offense is [censored].

SDS has a weird hateboner for Phillies Topps now/Spotlight. Remember how SDS outright refused to give us an Aaron Nola 10 straight K's record card, or how we still haven't seen a JT Realmuto Cycle card?
You guys make me laugh. The other day it was SDS hates the Red Sox. Today it is SDS hate the Phillies. Phillies have 20 Flashbacks and Legends which Ties them with the Red Sox. There are 23 teams with fewer cards, including two with exactly half that amount. Yes, Rolen is expensive but you have one of the very few 99s actually in the game right now(the Red Sox has the other). If they truly hated the Phillies then they would have made that Rolen card a Cardinal.
Nobody is denying that SDS has a preference for the Yankees and Dodgers. My guess is that those cards make them the most money but you can't convince me that they hate the Phillies or The Red Sox. How many Kyle Schwarber cards do we get each year?
As to the topic I would expect to see a card for him. If anything stops him from getting a card it would be because the Phillies have already optioned him back to AAA already. I doubt that makes a difference though as long as his card is part of the Phillies collection.

@DFC_MLBTS Harper doesn’t have a card or supercharge for 1000 RBIs, kinda historic.

If he gets a card it will probably be a card in a program it will most likely be a spotlight card but of course when it is a 92 or 93 due to the power curve people will complain that they did him dirty.
And I am curious, both Freddie Freeman and Paul Goldschmidt have passed that landmark in recent years, was anything special done for them? I honestly can't remember

You remember when? it has only been the last couple of years that they did cards for milestones or achievements the year it happened, prior to that it was following years they'd get it but not when it happened

@Dolenz_PSN we wanted the power creep, I like it, it’s fun and it makes some cards fun and some cards really good. But yes they need cards.

While any good faith criticism should be taken seriously, there is one I think is flat out wrong and SDS should ignore: The one where people get upset if the same player gets 2, or god forbid, 3 or 4 cards in one year!
If the player has a worthy MLB reason for a card in the 2025 season, they should get a card.
If the player has a Topps Now card, it should be put into the game
With the only real exception being if a player already has a similar 2025 card within the last couple of weeks -
@Dolenz_PSN We havent had a Phillies current player card other than Kyle Schwarber i think that is a diamond(excluding live series). It's less the matter of how many cards the team has and how many of those are because of the current team versus their legend players. The Phillies are a historic team that is bound to have lots of good cards from past years/eras of baseball, but it's surprising that a team playing so well this year only has one current diamond.
