Aaron Judge Dilemma
-
Hi guys,
don't want to brag or [censored] off anybody, but I pulled an Aaron Judge Live Series (in my last pack of the night) yesterday.
Since I am new to the game and the franchise, I was amaze at how much I could get if I decide to sell the card.
The thing is... I am tempted to sell.
When I got the game, I target ten team that I want to complete the Live Serie collection. These are teams that I like the reward the most. The Yankees are not one of them.
So, beside the player itself (wich is now my highest rated player), I think I have no use for the Judge card.
I took a look at the market and saw that I could get three great cards for my former Montreal Expos Squad/Collection if I decide to sell the Judge. These would be Pedro, Randy Johnson and Andre Dawson.
Like I said, I am tempted.
But I wish to pick your brain. Would it be a mistake that I might regret later to sell the Judge? Is there any use for the card (in another collection, for example) that I don't see at the moment that might prevent me to get a very great reward if I decide to collect the Judge Live Serie?
Right now, the plan is to put it on my squad for the week-end (Monday is civic here in Canada) and play several games with it. If I like the player, I may keep it. Otherwise, I might sell it.
But there is also the fact that the Judge card might lose in value in the next days/weeks, when the Flash Stub sale will be over...
So, what is your opinion on this, guys?

Well you should do whatever you want. Selling Judge to complete cheaper live series normally wouldn't be a bad idea. This year however prices aren't dropping. You have to collect EVERY live series to complete the collection. So again you should do whatever you want, but this year I would advise that if it is your only Judge to not sell.

I would sell all day. For one Judge's swing is not for everybody. I would take two great pitchers and a suitable replacement for Judge in Dawson.

@pacadie09_MLBTS Never sell the high/rare ls diamonds in may … mostly because most other ls (even the collection rewards besides a few) cards will not make your team better.
Imo the best way is: Keep Judge/Ohtani/Tatis (unless one of them is in fear of dropping below 90) and be patient. There are a lot of free/cheap cards you can get to build a very god squad in many ways. Remember: The most important thing in this game are „good thumbs“ -
I think some of you are missing the main point of his question.
It seems like he just wants to play with cards of players from his favorite teams. IE: @Dolenz64_XBL and hid Cardinals.
He probably doesn't care about completing the LS Collection.
@pacadie09_MLBTS if that is the case; sell him and buy who you want.
If you want to eventually finish the LS collection; you can do so at a later date.

@pacadie09_MLBTS If you are okay with „later“ being late summer … then I would go ahead and sell Judge now to get the cards you really want.
But if you are aiming for the whole LS collection by … say early July, I would keep him -
One thing to consider (and it’s a bit of a gamble), if Judge gets long term injured, he’ll be removed from the Live Series roster. His value will likely tumble as he is no longer required to complete the set.
So if you don’t really need him, sell now. -

The worst thing that could happen to his price are two things:
- He has a 4-week stretch with a .1xx avg and like 0 homeruns, a lot of strikeouts, no walks —> not gonna happen, but this would bring him under 90
- We have a time warp and it is September
