LS or Rolen?
-
So after roster update investments, im sitting at 560k. To finish live series, I still need Ohtani, Soto, Lindor, and Betts. With the 560k, I can pretty much only afford ohtani. However, I can complete the rolen collection with my current progress and stubs. Should I just finish the rolen or buy ohtani towards progress for live series collection?

One collection gets you one good card while the other collection gets you multiple good cards.

That sums it up.
What you've got left of LS gets you Ohtani, Lindor, Soto, Betts, Johan, Fernando, Chase Headley (people love the card), Hodges, and Beltran (best card in the game).
LS is the way to go.

jepp… Do not forget the additional Beltran and Hodges

One helps you complete the other.

I will say depending on what they release in the next few weeks I can see a lot of the player base getting Rolen before Beltran.

And Clemens. Haven’t really heard how people are enjoying that card.

@hauntingly4213_XBL Rolen is very good. But not better than Hodges, Simmons, Beltran, ect. Plus Headley is no slouch at third. LS all the way unless you have a deep connection to Rolen like him being a favorite player of yours or something.
-
Depends; if you complete Rolen you’ll be that much closer to the next collection.

Thank you everyone for the replies, I think live series is the way to go. I think I was just getting impatient waiting fir ohtani to drop back into the 450k range

He’s disgusting. Amazing to use, a nightmare to face

If you can finish LS than do that first. It gets you cards to help with the Rolen set and any future collection set. Plus those LS cards are legit. Clemens and Beltran will be in your lineup forever, Hodges is solid if you like his swing. Ohtani can slot in your lineup at DH or just put him in your rotation and use him as a pinch hitter or runner. Soto was my second P5 card right after LS DeLaCruz. Play him in RF or LF. Lindor is glitchy for real, I usually play him oop at 2b, he seems to have more pop than Marte. I have even had LIndor at DH, with Marte, DeLaCruz and JRam at my other infield spots. I have yet to find a 1b I like. Ortiz is great but his speed is really bad, Harper is hot and cold. I am a 4 cards short of Santander, but hopeing 3rd inninng brings new threads down even more. Obviosly Hodges would be amazing for my lineup. I am just missing Ohtani, Judge and Witt. So I will get those guys in September when I can actually afford them.

Live Series and it’s not close. I have completed both. Rolen is not that good. I like Headley better. I feel all things considered, switch hitters are the best. BUT, Rolen has that right handed swing where he crowds the plate. If you hit well with guys like Mays and Aaron, you’ll like him. I prefer swings like Mookie and Trout who just seem smoother and more relaxed (Mays even seems to grip the bat hard) and don’t stand on top of the plate.
TBH, I have enjoyed Honus Wagner more than Rolen.
