I just spent a few hours yesterday to build a stadium for a friend. Saved and wanted to go back after dinner to go make tiny changes to a couple things and the whole stadium is just not there. Name was there, but the file itself still wasn’t. Even the “go back one file” to find the actual stadium and nothing is there. Just generic SDS bs that you guys made.

It’s disheartening because I could be using this mode for hours on hours but if the stadiums are not coming up then what’s the point. Usually I’m on my 3rd stadium up until this point of the series and I’m sitting here looking at my first one going man I wanna build more.

Please revert back to the way it was in 24 at least. I can go without anything new just to make this mode work again

I genuinely feel your pain because like a lot of other stadium designers, I have experienced this same shocking waste of valuable time and creative energy. It's a shame, truly.

There was a trick someone over at Reddit's stadium creator sub-forum came up with that may help alleviate this issue. It's very much a work around, but it seems to work.

First, even though your stadium appears gone, upload it to the vault. It will take several hours for it to appear and don't worry if the game gives you a message that the upload failed. That annoying message is inaccurate about 95% of the time. However, you will not see your stadium in your "The Vault - My Saves" area until several hours after your upload.

Second, once you confirm the stadium is in the vault, you then go to the main MLB The Show menu screen and click on the Settings (gear icon). Then select File Management. From there select the Delete option. You will see on the left a listing of all your recent saves for each category of file or data that can be saved. One of these will be your stadium. You then slew to highlight that stadium and delete it.

Third, go back to the vault and download your stadium. Save it back to the same slot it used to be in before you deleted it. Then, once that is done, try again to bring up the stadium. Hopefully, through this process, you can recover your work and resume it.

    Hope this helps!

However, this part I must respectfully disagree with. SDS pays their talent significant incomes and by that professional exchange of talent for reward, we should expect them to be able to "walk and chew bubble gum at the same time." Meaning, they should be able to fix what is bugged out plus offer well overdue upgrades to Stadium Creator. Avoiding doing both isn't a result of us as the paying customers failing to provide honest and reasonable feedback/suggestions, it is because until this moment SDS has chosen not to.

But, we are the paying customers, and so I don't believe we should ever cede to them the option to ignore overdue and highly desired upgrades on the basis that they need to fix the basic working elements. Frankly, they need to do both!

Don't necessarily give up. If you know the slot you saved your work in, then upload it even though it shows a wrong name, or shows a wrong stadium. The issue is with the bugged up links. However, the work you did may actually still be in the slot, but the game code for SC is bringing up a different default stadium template due to the erroneous link.

So, follow those steps and see what happens. The worst outcome is that you end up with a default stadium. But, there is a chance you find out the broken link is repaired and your work was in that slot the whole time.

I completely rebuilt my stadium and have had no problems. I did not upload the new stadium to the vault. Just a guess on my part but I think the vault is where the bug is.

If you built it for a friend it's frustrating. Perhaps duplicate the stadium and only upload one version to the vault? Another issue is elevation and capacity being wrong. I notice sometimes capacity is conflated with elevation and I played a game with 40,000 elevation and it was home run derby. I went in and edited elevation then saved. That was great but then I deleted the version with the 40,000 elevation and it deleted both versions.

My advice don't upload to the vault even if you have 5 versions with the same name don't delete any of them and make sure elevation is correct.

I haven't experienced any of this, with any of my builds...yet. How often do you save, @BOREDJASON13_PSN ?

Yeah, what's the problem SDS? Over a month in and the stadium builder is still broken. I can't download and reupload my legacy stadiums. What I can access is the wrong build, if I can see it at all. What is shown has elevation and fan capacity in astronomical numbers. Building stadiums is half the fun when you're done with playing content. Check out Phil's YouTube channel, Studio 44, for more information.

If it is the correct stadium with wrong elevation try duplicating the stadium and then editing elevation and saving. That might give you a working stadium.

They are reportedly working on it but it must be pretty bad for them not to have it fixed by now. In franchise mode I saved a game and exited. When I re-entered to finish the game I wasn't in my created stadium.

    @SDS_JoeK_PSN

Since it has been roughly a month since these basic bugs were first reported, can we get an update on the timeline of fixes?

    Thanks!

Unfortunately, nothing concrete to share as far as timelines go, but will keep everyone updated as much as possible.

Rest assured, the team is working hard on it!
