It ain't coming back. At least that is the opinion I have even though I would like it back.

PS5's do not allow the users to copy media on to the internal drives and I am guessing SDS does not want to support a feature that requires an external drive or usb stick in order to be functional.

The PS4 also didn't support copying audio files from a USB drive directly; however, SDS was given permission by Sony to transfer and convert their legacy code from the PS3 and get it working on the PS4.

I am assuming that the music streaming services, and the fact that the Xbox One/Series X never had this feature or any legacy code built for it, means that SDS would have to completely build a workaround, which is not efficient or practical for multiple consoles.
