My no-flipping/just playing-experience

Quick little update …
I have close to 500K stubs … I just played the game and kept on selling everything.
I pulled a Witt and Skenes on my way …Collection-wise:
- I could easily have Rolen (but I am too stingy and waiting out the market to slow down)
- I completed the eggs and new threads program
- I am two cards away from completing the Moonshot-collection (3 mini season games to Gwynn to go, the other will probably be Candelario
) … but I would probably not play him with Hodges manning 1B and Rolen being my lock at 3B, so I will only buy him to complete the next big collection - The main cards missing are spotlight and chase cards
Summary:
I learned a lot already doing this. I made world series without „the best cards“ (never did that before) and overall I have more fun doing the game without excessivly looking at the market and flipping the heck out of it (which is totally possible … but not fun overall).
I am really looking forward to the next TA wave and hopefully the next collection -

Just need Ohtani to finish Live Series. Worked my way up to 158k so still quite a ways to go

When you say thst you sell EVERYTHING; does that also mean the cards from the MP Program and then buy them back later?

For sure … Inning bosses … Jerseys … Bats … sounds … everything that has worth and/or is not used on my team I play with because that is dead money.
I explained it in the first couple of posts.Reading the forum and complaining I get the feeling that way too many ppl buy cards/packs they do not need and/or are too lazy to clean up their binder.
I would have gotten Beltran way earlier if I had played the launch week (I was on vacation) -
Flipping is a complete [censored] joke this year. Like most of the game, in general.

… How did you fare? New approach?Still no flipping , but I pulled Jeimer in an Eclipse pack and sold him. That 150k stubs got me to where I need to be.

Quick little update:
- Just got Rolen
- I benefited from the 20th anniversary pack being in the new conquest
- newest spotlight card had me not buy a single spotlight card for the collection
- 520K still on the shelf
- Still not a single flip nor single Euro invested
Next goal:
- Wait for a price drop and buy one of the 100K-cards to get Buxton (I bought the others when the program dropped)
- Spotlight Collection Santana
- Get the may spotlight cards as cheap as I can (the next big collection will need the may spotlight collection reward for sure)
- Get more cards to get me the collection reward as early as possible

Last update here: Honestly, having LS and the first collection done … the first weeks were funnier than the last have been …
Where do I stand:
- Finished Moonshot Collection for Buxton
- Finished both spotlight collections for Santana and Harper
- Got lucky and pulled Schwarbs out of the 1 program packs, so technically I am just 1 click away from unlockung Seager
- Well prepared for the next collection
- sitting on 300 unopened packs and 220K
What did I do differently this time?
Nothing. I just played the game, concentrated on TA (biggest tipp this year) and just sold everything I did not need (at that time

Little update: Still no flipping (I admit that I put in buy-orders for Schwarbs and Vlad at the last flash sale and got both, so I will sell one).
99 Teddy Ballgame just entered my lineup, I still have Vlad Jr. and 600K stubs while just playing the game and doing everything the game offers me
I will end this thread going no-flip the rest of the year (because I will know it will work). Maybe it helped some folks (or not
)
