Hmmm. As an NMS "mega grinder" I have to say that yes it still works, but most everyone here is right.
SDS/Sony is definitely making it harder to grind for stubs. And I believe it is absolutely intentional.

I quit the game early every year as it just kind of gets boring so I like to grind for as many stubs as I can early on to get collections done and be able to try out any card I and my coop partner want. He doesn't flip as much as I do so it's nice to give him the opportunity to use whatever cards he would like to try because I'm usually flush with stubs.

@mietha_PSN yet you have no problem with people being able to sell now cards for the same exact price as they quicksell for, and these people are losing 10% on the transaction. So if your gonna take out backorders you mind as well prevent any orders in the market from being placed below 10% above QSV

@LIONED-33_XBL it's been in the game for the past 5 years. If it was such a exploit why didn't they eliminate it when it first came about

@GoozeFn_PSN exactly. But the way they structure rewards in the game makes it to where you are rewarded more by not playing the game.

@Dolenz_PSN I stopped trying to make stubs months before the game cycle was over. I still had thousands of back orders fulfilled after that. I always had more than enough stubs last year. It’s not easy to gauge what you’ll need through the end of the year in May. I certainly wasn’t trying to have so many extra stubs at the end of the year.

I think a lot of us finished '24 with a ton of stubs. I kept thinking they would put out new, expensive cards to the marketplace but they never did.

@dbub_PSN Yeah, I was pretty much buying everything as soon as it dropped and playing how I wanted to play. I’m already frustrated this year and don’t feel like I’ll be playing much longer. I’d like to play ranked, but I’m not going into it with a sub optimal team.

Awesome take … it is hillarious how people go crazy about this without thinking first.
I made stubs too with that but being angry and blaming SDS for „taking their method away to make stubs“ is crazy.
I would not call it an exploit but I get that this should have never been possible in the first place -
Well this is a bummer quciksell cards would fulfill the order and was the best way to predict future player increases

Take it from those of us who know... it's not.
I've had collections done by now with another 500K in the bank to flip with. I'm still 700K away from having it done and will have nothing in the bank to flip with when complete.

@Kah-glizzy_PSN Actually, I do have a problem with that, but I also understand that's a much harder fix to code. The simple solution would be to remove the tax, but we know they're not going to do that.

I don't understand the complaining about stubs really
I've had a few okay pulls, I know I had acuna and maybe Betts or freeman. I've sold all my dupes as I get them. I've done all offline stuff I think and a few diamond quests, all maps, one of the mini seasons and 3 ranked games and a few events.
I have trout, jram, Yordan, skenes and finished roki collection today.
I was down to like 15k after buying skenes and still ended the day with 54k
Plus wiht my schedule I basically play all day Saturday, alot on Monday and a little on the other 5 days.
I've barely flipped on the app and when I do it's like 50 bronze orders for a few players and then set them to sell and never look at it again
Stub making is about right to me... Sure I would love Santander and Beltran today but then no point in grinding away and being rewarded along the way.
Also I've only done a few collections... Angels for napoli and maybe 3 or 4 others.

Well, they kind of did it now … that is kind of a reality. Why not face it?
And why should they say everything on anything not knowing who might be interested (or not). They adressed more important stuff than „taking away a stub method“ … Again, I made a lot of stubs with it … basically taking advantage of people who either did not know (they still do not if you look at the market) or did not care. Last group can obviously take the quick sell … and again: Maybe this should have always been the case in the first place. It does not make sense.

Same here. I have 320K with no flipping at all. I have the Braves LS done and got lucky today pulling Judge and Marte.
