Please fix the cup pitching/ hitting

The cpu throws to many balls and they dot you to death. It doesn't matter if it's a common or diamond cards. And you need to fix the energy in 3 inning games. How is my pichter throws 3 to 4 pitches and he is already in the yellow or red. And the cpu is fouling off 10+ pitches at bats. I had two back to back 20 pitch at bats against the cpu because they foul it off so much. And hitting feels way off still.

I am not sure I agree with everything but I will agree that the CPU pitchers seem to be living on the edges far more this year. The number of first pitch strikes on the bottom line of the zone seems much higher this year.

I haven't had too many issues, but I do find it odd the number of 4 pitch walks I've had on Rookie. Or at least would've had if I didn't hack at balls to try and extend the AB. And the extremely keen eye the CPU has on offensive. They'll watch two [censored] Shots go by and then turn in to Joe DiMaggio and not chase a pitch just off the plate only to flail at strike 3 after working the count to full.

I've also noticed this year the CPU pitch speeds have seemed to increase. 91 mph fastballs seem faster compared to past years. And yes, it's either pitches completely out of the zone or pitches being dotted by bronze players aswell.
On a side note, is it just me or does it seem like the cpu pitchers don't throw over to 1st with a runner on anymore? Fast guys usually got a throw or two tossed over. Not for me this year, I haven't had one cpu throw over yet. Hell. I haven't seen a pitchout or sidestep yet.

I think its noticeably tougher to hit this year. At first I chalked it up to using silvers, but i honestly think i hit better with those silvers than the 87s. They throw less stuff over the plate, LOVE low sinkers that rarely hang over the plate, and sliders away right on the edge. On top of that, the defense is better. I think this is all good for all star, but on veteran I at least expect to be on equal fielding terms with the CPU. I certainly dont recover that fast when i boot a ball...
I dont have problems in general getting two innings out of my starter though. If they foul off a pitch, attacking the corner diagonal to it usually works. I dont know if Ive had more than 1 or 2 10 pitch at bats. Are you sure you arent playing The Show 23?

Ive been picked off a couple times taking leads with guys with steal in the 50s (not every team has a good steal guy to get those 3/15 steal milestones), but the only pitch out Ive seen was in a showdown which is just rude.

I'd disagree with that, it's not so much better as much as it's returned to the 35 foot dolphin dives that we saw in '22 and '23

Ah, I never take leads. Even in years past though I was still getting pitchers throwing over, pitching out and slide stepping. This year I haven't got any of that yet.

I usually get one pickoff per AB when I have a base stealer by extending my lead once. Once I get it, I’m gone because they NEVER pitch out. I hope they don’t fix it since it’s good for TA lol

The problem with the CPU defense is their defenders never hesitate while our fielders do. Example, played the Blues Jays and hit a ball down the right field line and the 53 reaction George Springer takes off immediately, my 75 reaction Roberto Clemente hesitates before moving.

Glad I'm not the only one annoyed about the CPU pitching, I've noticed it the last few years, but this year the number of walks I have at this point is insane, going on 30 walks now. I had a at bat with Ramirez yesterday where not one pitch came close to the zone, easiest walk I've ever taken. That combined with the Albert chant is making me think I might not last the whole season....

And i feel like if you play on hall of fame and up the cpu plays like it should some what. But the pitching is still a hit and miss.

This is the stuff Im talking about. I feel their ability to turn and throw is increased this year, while for us its decreased. Or how when we drop a liner we have to re execute the throw this year but they just pick it up and throw a high speed, high accuracy throw like its nothing

@MoeBuug68_XBL very noticable as well when you take the lead, even the commons turn into Maddux. The hitters get batting eyes like Gwynn and power like Bonds

@DoIHearBossMusic_PSN yep, or they hit everything or anything no matter where you throw it. And they foul it off a hundred times and hit a automatic homerun.
