Pitcher can't throw to first?!?!

Three times now — THREE separate times — one of my pitchers has got a ground ball hit right back to them, so the natural thing to do is throw it to first base for the out, right? Right? WRONG. No matter how many times I press the button, the pitcher can never throw the ball. Pitcher makes a throwing motion each time, so I know the button is working, but the ball NEVER LEAVES HER HAND, so the runner makes it safely to first and the pitcher is credited with an error. WTF is going on here?

Make sure you only push the desired base button once. Multiple taps of the button will cancel the throw!

You can turn off fake throw in settings. I had to do it for my 2nd Base and pitcher.
