Hot_Rod510, you are spot on. I love it. For everyone, Texas Stadium is really nice. It has only some small signs on outfield wall, not even color, and your Logo is huge on left/center, scoreboard, Batting circles on field and best of all, on the electronic banners behind plate and all along the stadium. They use your colors and logo plus your team name. It's a fantastic look when you pitch. It even has a Canadian flag flying, as well as USA & Texas. I still wish the crowds wore your logos on outfits, they just wear default plain clothing. But until they add a generic stadium you can tweek, this can work. Thanks to Hot_Rod510 for finding it.
After a couple years in, I usually go into one of two modes. First mode is combination of playing in simulating, to get to the Hall of Fame. Second, which is the most fun for me, is to try to get traded to as many teams as possible. I know it sounds dumb, but I crank up the trade slider just to see what happens. I enjoy the new teams and seeing who has been traded to what teams. Unfortunately, after about four years, I get bored with majority of players just being a number. I agree, no matter what settings you use, it's less fun once you're in the MLB. I usually end up just creating a new player and trying something different. Currently, I created a pure Knuckleballer And I'm having a lot of fun with this guy. There are a whole new series of commentator play by plays just for the Knuckleball.
Except maybe from pure chance there's only one way I know. Go to Options - sliders - Adjust Sliders - scroll down, and move the trade frequency over to the right as far as you want to take it. The downside is the teams will really get mixed up because lots of trades will go on. But I've been treated many times by moving The slider over to the right. Yes, at the end of the year, sometimes mid year, tell your agent you want out. I have been traded without doing that also. But getting traded to a team you want I have never seen that option. Until you go to free agency it's kind of a [censored] shoot.
I was curious if anyone has gone a career with a true knuckleballer? I'm in my 2nd year and I'm having a blast. The play by play announcers are fantastic and a lot of fun. They make fun of the batters whiffing and have fun describing the pitch. They call it a ping pong It's especially fun watching the catcher try to deal with this. I've never heard these comments playing this game for years. So I was curious if anyone else had tried this and went a whole career. My pitches - Knuckleball - Knuckle Curve - Forkball. Arch - Nasty. Oh ya, get this, I was drafted by Boston! Timothy Wakefield was an idol of mine.
Yes, you can turn it off. I think it's called fielding assist/showtime and is in settings under fielding. Just turn it off. When on, it slows the play down so you can get a better set up to make a play.
I agree. It's just a shame I have to wait another year to maybe get a more detailed immersion RTTS game.
Hi, I'm thinking of upgrading to the PS5. My main question is how different is the basic audio, walkups, music between innings and stadium sounds for the PS5 version? I'm not talking about the Unlockable Stadium Sounds. I've been playing this game since it first came out. SOTS has been a big part for me because, well, it's just fun organizing everything for stadiums and players. If there is no SOTS, what is there for the game ambiance? Is there canned music and stadium chants ect. or is it just very basic? For me, it helps the game immersion and a bit more enjoyable. Thanks for any insite.
Yes, many. All other sounds work, including unlocked stadium sounds. Animated text windows does pop up with the HR phrases..
My Stadium Sounds work fine. I have 3 each of the HR audio. They have never played. I've tried different settings with Override/High & mid but still no sounds. The stadium sounds work and I can test them when I apply them to slots.Strange thing is that they do show in an animated Text pop-up form in the bottom right but no audio. Any ideas?
For those of us that really play, mostly, RTTS, no DD. Alot of these suggestions are built into Franchise & MTO. I would love it if RTTS could just be more immersive.
Make a ticket and submit it. Unless you're not connected to the server, can't see why this would happen.
A simple tactic is look for a Current Roster with some high downloads and a rating if given. Then, upload it and edit roster. I look for my favorite teams and make sure they are current. Save. Then use it with a new franchise. Remember, you can edit a roster already being used in Franchise mode.
Yarem is spot on. I have 3 pitchers, Knuckleballer is really fun:) The tracking numbers don't list as changed but they are. Just keep plugging away and you'll move up fast as a pitcher. I made diamond by May of second year, OVL 81.
I also get how the opposing pitcher just got called up and is his first game in the majors:) AA
