Hi, I'm hoping someone can clarify how gear works. I understand levels of gear by 2x, 4x or 6x for multipliers for perks. But I'm very confused on how stat boosts' are being applied. Equipment/gear provides attribute boosts to my player. Gear is split between diamond, gold ect for multipliers. But I can't find any information on what specific stats get enhanced and by what number. Price isn't enough to differentiate which gear a RTTS position should focus on. Older games always listed the areas of the boost. This correlates with the price for the most part. So let's take one example. SHOES: Certain shoes enhance pitching over hitting and speed. While another might specialize on speed and hitting for a different price. Is there a list? The community market doesn't list it.
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. If I spend stubbs, I want them to be effective.

Hi, just wondering if I'm missing a trick. Semi newer player here. I have a 2nd baseman and was wondering if applying tokens to specific areas versus group sections can raise OVL faster? I'm running a small ball player. I have great stats and it's May 15th with an OVL of just 63. Also, my pitcher is a hard thrower. Just wondering because it seems to be going slow to raise OVL and I need to hit 73 and 75 to advance to MLB. I play every game so far.
    Thanks

  • jgreene6142_PSNJ jgreene6142_PSN

Thanks, makes sense. I wonder why there is such a difference in prices for the same boost. Why would someone buy a diamond $35,000 item over a $5000 diamond item with same 6X boost? Is it just cosmetics?

Okay, the new system for equipment has me a bit confused. I play RTTS mostly. Basically, does equipment still have specific stat boosts? I understand the X factor boosts on perks but what about the specific stat boosts for certain stats? I've read others saying there are no stat boosts, just perk multiplier. In the game, when you go to community market and select a piece of equipment and look at the info, it doesn't list the specific stat boosts anymore, just perk. Is there a difference between 2 Diamond batting gloves with 6X perk but one is $20,000 and the other is like $8500? Why would anyone be buying the most expensive gear? Sorry again, just really confused on this. Thanks

  • Grinding rosters???? Why use them?
  • jgreene6142_PSNJ jgreene6142_PSN

This is most likely a real dump question/post... I've come across 3 videos of players downloading grinding rosters to use for fast leveling OVR. How can this work in 25? I could do this in 24 by playing a grinding player position and then creating a new real player and they can use their upgrades. How can this happen in the new system? Each new player starts the same and progresses the same, correct? What am I missing? Are these guys just doing this for fun? They never explain why they are doing this.

  • Pitcher can't throw to first?!?!

You can turn off fake throw in settings. I had to do it for my 2nd Base and pitcher.

  • jgreene6142_PSNJ jgreene6142_PSN

Is there a best practice to maximize Overall (OVR) growth in RTTS for a pitcher? I've been spending all my tokens on FB velo and arm strength with scattering in other areas. It seems my OVR is raising very slow. What attributes should I focus on for a pitcher?

  • Why is it taking so long
  • jgreene6142_PSNJ jgreene6142_PSN

@PriorFir4383355_XBL You seem knowledgeable on this. For the newer system with tokens for OVR number, are there stats that should be raised that increase your OVL faster? For my pitcher, I maxed out FB & arm strength and some in H9 ect.

  • Closer Question - Help
  • jgreene6142_PSNJ jgreene6142_PSN

Hi, I'm in my third year, Sep AAA with OVR at 74 with Pirates. I'm behind Bednar - 81. If you've run a Closer, how long did it take to get called up? My ERA is under 1 and never lost a save. Just curious if I'm missing something. I don't want to start a new closer and move to a new team. Thanks

  • jgreene6142_PSNJ jgreene6142_PSN

Okay, I'm not complaining really, just wondering if I'm messing up somehow. I started a Closer with Pirates. I started 54 overall. Was selected first round - 15th pick. ERA is 1.45. I've played every game and having fun. The issue is I'm still in AAA after 2 years. OVL is 71 with Bednar over me - 85. But I'm 3rd on relievers. Going 3rd year still in AAA. Is it just extremely slow because of closer? Not joking, I've played every game, no simming. Any ideas? I don't want to mess with sliders because experience gets knocked. All Star setting.

@GreenEydBndt_XBL Was your Overall under the person in front of you? I haven't heard that your Stats can move you up verses just your overall score.

  • Equipment Understanding Help for 25 & RTTS
  • jgreene6142_PSNJ jgreene6142_PSN

Hi, sorry, can't find this info in forums. I play RTTS almost exclusively, with only Franchise as my other. Equipment has always given specific boosts to certain stats. So, for example, what is the gain if I buy one diamond batting glove over another same type. In years past, each equipment had stat boosts that they listed. Like equipment was almost never the same boosts, I can't find what one product offers over another. They are all rated/grouped by a times 2 or 4 modifier for perks. Why would I buy a more expensive 4x item over another 4x item that costs almost half less? I understand how the Perks work but not sure why one 4X item is better then another 4x item of the same type. Hope this makes sense.

  • jgreene6142_PSNJ jgreene6142_PSN

Just adding my agreement. I dropped my left fielder because I have never had a fly ball deep. Grounders, short pop ups & homeruns with no chance to get. I'm in June, 68 overall & bored. Stopped playing him. PS, I've played every game.

  • Playing the Padres is a miserable experience
  • jgreene6142_PSNJ jgreene6142_PSN

I liked the game report after a game in Franchise. You could always bypass it if you wanted. But I liked it because it gave game highlight information on all the other games simmed. I sort of miss it now.

  • Can you create multiple players in RTTS 24?
  • jgreene6142_PSNJ jgreene6142_PSN

The great thing of separating RTTS players from DD, is you may have several even at the same position. There is a limit though of I think 10. But more than enough to create different players/positions.

  • Still no secondary pos for cap?
  • jgreene6142_PSNJ jgreene6142_PSN

I agree. I'll create a character in Franchise and play that way but it would be nice to play multiple positions or utility for rtts

  • Catcher Position really upgraded
  • jgreene6142_PSNJ jgreene6142_PSN

Thank you, SDS. I know not everyone will agree but I love the upgrade to catcher. I like playing the position. We now have more gameplay overall with stealing, pop-ups, calling pitches in big moments and now plays at home with runners. One [censored], I've tagged out like 1 for 15 at the plate:) The slow (L) motion and then hit the showing button is going to take some time to get down. But I like that they did something for the position.
