I just played a WS player

Yes, I can now officially say I will not be able to compete in this game without a hardware upgrade.
The one Kluber pitch up in the zone that I thought I was all over I swung right through it. Obviously I am missing milliseconds of information or something. 2016 tv on game mode will not cut it.
Disappointing to say the least.

There is a cheap Asus for less than $200 that’s great.

For the love of god if you get a monitor buy a 4k display and not waste your money on a 1080p panel. The monitor will last you years, spend a little more on it and don’t buy the cheapest you can get. 4k content looks great sitting close to a monitor

I’m thinking of a TCL tv which is supposed to have around 14 ms of input lag. I know monitors can get even better, but I’m not sure I’m ready to give up couch gaming...
Thanks for the replies, gents.

Went 26-2 on a 50 inch TV i got in 2016

@allmustfall16 i’d be curious to know your stat differential from tv to monitor? I’m tempted to make the switch but I just don’t see the point yet Bc monitor wouldn’t be used for anything else.. $100 was enough for this game but def next yr for PS5

I don’t have a large enough sample size yet. I know I’m hitting better. Mostly played events though. Think I’ve played around 70 ranked games but only a few since I got it. I’ve won over 150 games in the events and I went from scoring like 1-2 runs a game to a lot more than that.

If it was a Samsung Ks8000 that puts you at about 20ms input lag, which isn’t the best, but isn’t terrible at all. Is that what you currently play on?
-
Where is a good website to see input lag on your tv model?

Oh. But did you go 26-2 on Mlbts 20 or an earlier iteration? 26-2 is great no matter which version of the show you’re playing, but this year, in particular, has extremely small timing windows. And with the increased pitch speeds, it puts tv users with an input lag of above 20ms or so at an extreme disadvantage.

I’ve played on a 55 inch TCL for the last 3 years, make World Series regularly. I can vouch for TCL.
