@The_Joneser_PSN Yeah, I’m talking about the cards, especially from the storyline. Donaldson was really the only guy that made my lineup consistently. I’d like to see better early negro league cards and/or a reason to use them. I’m not saying they aren’t usable. I’m saying they were rarely optimal when we got them and there were few reasons to use them outside of simply wanting to use them in spite of being suboptimal.

I agree with that. With day 1 99s and higher ranked cards in general, their viability was definitely short-lived. For someone like me who doesn't do collections until I realize that I happened to collect them without trying, and someone who avoids long programs and grinds if I can, they maybe hung around a little longer. I tend to use cards that aren't optimal quite often... specifically just because I like them and want to use them.

I'd certainly have no issue with Storylines cards being rated higher. And I really did think you were just kind of bagging on the feature itself... I understand, now, that you weren't.

@The_Joneser_PSN Not sure how you came to that conclusion. The original post said the stories were cool and I’ve been advocating for them to make people want to use them more. They spent all this money bringing this in. Show it off.

    @GoozeFn_PSN :

“Yeah, it was a worthless grind last year to even do the storylines. I’ll probably just avoid them this year unless they are part of a collection or something.”

No idea how I initially came to that conclusion. I guess it will remain a mystery.

@The_Joneser_PSN I said a lot more than that, but I get it, reading is hard.

I like the way storylines is set up,like learning the history and all.
I understand why they aren't included in anything mlb, that's kinda the point (they had to make their own league cause they weren't allowed to play)
still it would be nice to have programs or missions for them(give them due they have always deserved).

@The_Joneser_PSN At least I am not the only one who cares about context 🙂

I‘d like to sum it up:

    • There should be incentives to use the NL cards. They did not net any progress in TA in 24. If they do that again, lots of people will not use them (myself included), which is sad.
    • The storyline cards were much lower than TA, therefore you could use the term „useless“ (but only referring to the cards themselves). They could/should be better this year (hope: 85, especially if they do not work for TA)
    • Storylines as a storyteling thing were brilliant

And remember: I am not native speaking 😉

They shouldn't have ta progress, they never played in mlb, but they should have their own program that we can use them in.

@PAinPA_PSN That’s what I was suggesting. At least give us a big program.

That is right… I use them anyway, if I want to 🙂

I also like the idea of a Negro League TA. Even more than that, I like the idea of a Negro League or integrated old-timey mini-season. Only old-time stadiums, uniforms, and old school/negro league players.

Maybe it's too much to ask, but it would be cool to have a random player generator in honor of the many athletes lost to history. It would add a nice "unknown quantity" dimension to the mini-season format (a taste of baseball before information saturation?) and would save us from contests against the same players across multiple clubs.
