I’ve noticed that only the Deluxe version has early access.

Apart from a few card sets that I’ll probably collect throughout the season anyway, what is the benefit to me preordering the Standard version in return for SDS receiving my cash 6 weeks early?

Save your money. The 30 dollars extra for what you get isn't worth it.

It is available so that, in our more sober moments, we can buy the basic version and therefore remove the temptation to buy the early access version. You'll never regret buying the base version in my opinion.

There is 1 benefit I can think of, you would be able to predownload it and play right at launch.
Buying it at launch and trying to dl it when everyone else is it probably would take a very long time to dl.

@PAinPA_PSN I’ll probably buy it a few days before the release to get the early download. Certainly not 6 weeks out though.

Not that the download time is an issue when I have a 1Gb/sec connection 🙂

The download time won't be restricted by your bandwidth but by the bandwidth of the server(s) delivering the code.

I'll wait until just before launch to pre-order in enough time to get the early DL. For '24, I came in because of PS Plus and then bought the Deluxe add-on principally to get the double downloads and the extra packs. That was the only money I spent on packs this year. I don't regret it. From what I've seen in years of buying this game, the deluxe add-on is worth it because of the jump it gives you on cards, not to mention the early access. I'm kind of glad, in a way, there's only one early access option now. I'd expected to have two options and I'd considered going for the cheaper upgrade, but now there's no worry since there is only one.

It is not more of an incentive that the 1 standard gold choice pack you get … so … If you plan to buy the game nonetheless, I would suggest you do the early access a few days in advance to the actual release

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to me that usually the packs in the Deluxe add-on aren't all that much available later. Which makes getting the Deluxe add-on more sensible.

@beatlesnews_PSN It is only for the early game-cycle. Those cards are pretty rare in the first few weeks until after they are part of a collection. I do not know the exact that for that early hyper cards this years but they put them out prox after 6-8 weeks which made their prices go down

Thanks. That's what I suspected. I think I'll end up getting the pre-order for the cards and the double login.

Unfortunately I am out-of-town (bad planning) for the whole early-access-phase (very depressing), but I think I counter your plan
