Reported racial slur in forum still there

I reported this a couple of days ago, then I reported it again and there's been nothing done. If a mod PMs me, I'll give the details.

You should have provided details and linked the post when you reported.
This forum is almost completely ignored by SDS though.

@Dolenz_PSN I think I did. By "forum", I meant the whole forum because I was talking about the forum as a whole. But it wasn't in this category. I did report the slur where it happened off the post itself, which I'm guessing gives enough detail. Last I looked it was still there.

I am of the firm belief that if you make a public accusation, then you are obligated to provide the details so that people can review the situation and make their own evaluations. Making such allegations without that context tends to throw an undeserved blanket of insinuation against the entire forum as well as the moderators, and I'm not sure either blanket is deserved.

I disagree.
They don't mention who the poster was or what was said. It was reported to the moderator who is the person who will make the determination if it is justifiable or not.
Giving out the details to the rest of the forum will have only one of two outcomes. Some people may find it justifiable and go after the person who typed it. Some may find it not justifiable and ridicule the person who reported it.
The main problem I see is that if the OP gets no response at all and the post remains on the forum. Does it remain because the moderator deemed it to be acceptable and just dropped the issue without any further communication or is it still there because they never even bothered to look at the report?

@PriorFir4383355_XBL Making it public would have caused a lot of reaction that I don't think the mods would have appreciated. It was up to them to fix it, not us. Take my word for it. It was a slur.

No, no one should "take your word" on any of this. Fact remains, you should have either kept this a private messaging between you and the moderators, or came right out and made it clear to everyone what you were concerned about.
No one gets a free pass given that no one making such an accusation should be taken without healthy investigation to parse fact from fiction. If that statement offends you, then perhaps you are just trolling for reaction because no one who makes a serious point would be offended by that very righteous response.
BTW: I saw no ridicule directed to you in this thread.

But that is not your or my responsibility. It is the responsibility of the moderator to make that determination and act accordingly, which apparently they have.
If SDS does not want these topics being posted then maybe they could not take 4 to 5 days to act on a report of a racial slur on their forum.

Or you can pretend it's the 70s and not get so bunched up about a word sitting on a screen put there by people with fake names that really can't hurt anyone.
