What players are defined as legends?

Nope. They are right.
By your definition Adam Dunn would be a flashback, yet his cards are eligible for Legends and Live series mini season.
I need @savefarris_MLBTS to weigh in, but I thought that "Flashbacks" are active players. The cards recognize a certain achievement. For example, Topps Now and Season Awards are considered Flashbacks.
Legends are retired players, whether or not we here on the Forum consider them to be "Legends". Again, I'll defer to @savefarris_MLBTS , but I don't think a Legend can also be a Flashback.
I hope what I just said doesn't elicit a "Billy Madison" quote...
And... I think Robin Yount belongs to a special class due to his sweet mustache. That reference is specifically for @SchnauzerFace_MLBTS . I miss him terribly on the Forum.

some of you people need to get a life , your whole existence is embroiled in this tu rd of a video game , its so bad even the players are trash , incapable of even a modicum of civility in interaction with others , set the controller down and go out and get some sun, get a life
Can you refrain from your junior high tantrums?

Ironically, he stated in another thread, that he's in his 60s. Imagine someone in their 60s acting like he acts.

In mlb the show a legend always has been any retired player, and a flashback always has been a player with a live series.
The rationale above would make sense if there was an ary at the end, but there isn't. A legend player does not and has never implied legendary player. -

Yes. That is correct exactly.

Yount has a face that launched 1000 ships in the opposite direction. He's the poor man's Sandra Bernhard and I love that ugly mug so much

Legends are also retired baseball players no longer actively playing in MLB.
It's a little more than that. For example, Josh Donaldson is a retired baseball player. However, for The Show purposes, he is not considered a Legend.

HIs current LS fits the "Captian Card" (Jackie Robinson) boost. I'm 99% sure no one cares...

Jackie Robinson boosts cover athletes.

He still has a live series card in the game therefore he is not a legend.
I've mentioned this before. The date a player announces his retirement makes a difference in this game.
If you announce at the end of the season you will not be in next years game. If you announce in spring you will be in the game as a free agent.
Wainwright retired in Oct = No longer in the game.
Donaldson retired in March = Still in the game.I don't know what the actual cutoff date is though.

Yup, exactly. Votto just announced, his cards are still flashbacks.
A way to think about that may help is how SDS acquired the player rights. If they are in the game as part of the MLBPA agreement all non LS cards are flashbacks, if they had to get the rights directly for that player, than Legend.
