He is a gatekeeper for the LS collection so he will not be moved to the FA pool. Reference back to Edwin Diaz last year.
Such a shame he had dealt with so many injuries in recent years. Bad enough his prime was wasted playing on some awful Angels teams, but now he just can't stay on the field.

Meh LS is totally useless this year. First year I didn’t even try to finish it. I’m 6 cards away and could easily do it but I just don’t want to.
That said, they won’t move Trout.

Trout is cursed with the Angels and he should demand to be traded this offseason to ANYWHERE that is not the Angels and the Dodgers they get enough great players -- LOL

What would Trout even demand on the trade market these days? He hasn't put up a monster season in five years, can't stay healthy and is owed $37M annually through 2030. A change of scenery could be rejuvenating, but the guy will be 33 next season so it's unlikely to think a team will give up the farm for him unless the Angels eat a healthy amount of that contract.
It is sad because his early career trajectory drew many parallels to Ken Griffey Jr., but now those comparisons are happening for all the wrong reasons.

@blitz77tw_PSN He probably should've demanded a trade like 5 years ago. Being traded in his prime, could've gotten a ring. But, I think he's still gonna be a Hall of Famer.

Trout should no longer be the gate keeper. It’s not just been the injuries either. His production hasn’t been the same over the last 2 seasons. He shouldn’t even be a 90 to start next season IMO.

@GoozeFn_PSN You are correct. My guess is that Trout starts MLB the Show 25 as an 88 or 89. First time he will be an affordable LS card like...ever!

I can see them keeping Trout on the cusp with a 90 rating so he retains some LS value. Dropping him to that 86-88 tier would definitely be justifiable too, but I just don't see SDS doing that to him.

I was kind of joking about it ( trading him ) but at this point not sure he can play the OF fulltime anymore might have to consider doing what Harper did and move to 1st Base OR just DH more or both. I think at this point unless Trout asks out they should just keep him cause he is the face of there team but that front office / owner is a joke at this point. He deserves more help and that front office has let him down time and time again. --- I am from the NW and a NBA - Blazers fan and it reminds me of when Dame was a Blazer they wasted all his great play and I see the same thing from the Angels and the front office.

@DoIHearBossMusic_PSN The only way I see them doing it is with a replacement people will want bad enough. Judge just doesn’t have draw because he’s not the complete package like Trout. Maybe Witt will elevate to that level. He’s having a monster season.
