Serious input delay online

@xElRojo44x-_MLBTS especially higher difficulties, how the heck am I supposed to hit 103 when it swings so long after I hit swing? I've played on monitor and it helped a little, but my eyes suck so I had to switch back to my TV. The input delay is just heinous if they have a bad connection.

It the worst it’s ever been right now the delay is massive

No the game is just trash the past 3 yrs. The timing window is never same. They update game and say no afdjustments made to gameplay yet its always different after the update. So many outs with good good. Whats point of pci if you arent rewarded with the proper input. ️ only video game ive played where the worse you are the more rewarded you get.

You are spot on about everything you said. The claims that there aren’t no gameplay updates yet it’s changed several times I feel to be very true personally.Some of these guys with awful connections are used to the game being played with the lag and delay like that. They end up getting early to late hits and clobber me. In another post I said most of the losses I have on ranked is against guys like this minus the one or two disconnects. It’s been a brutal year. I get most agitated when the vertical screen tearing or whatever you call the transition between the batter and getting the ball in play can hiccup and it affects my defense. I can be late getting to a grounder or my throw meter might pop up late causing me to throw red

To say "no, the game is trash the last three years" does not explain why this same thing has happened before the last three years. I have played online since '14 and this has been an issue since '14..... and it's called "latency".I am not saying there are not other problems with the game, I am only confirming that "latency" has been an intermittent problem with this game in online H2H matches since I have been playing. Just look at previous years' forums, and you will see plenty of threads on this (Just search "MLBTS warping pitch speeds" or something).
If they gave us a ping notification (like they used to have), that would help us a lot, in that we can back out, before going into a poor p2p connection match (which is ironically why they may not give us one).

It’s an issue that needs to be fixed though. When I play a game with input delay even balls mounted up according to the hitting feedback can show perfect but the game doesn’t register that in gameplay. I know when input delay is severely off because the bat just makes a sink sound the entire game. And nobody hits for solid hits typically. It’s a LOT more rare. Regardless of how well the feedback shows. It’s a [censored] and can destroy ur record. The game ends up being who can dink for a win.

Other than giving us a ping notification, the only other thing that I can think of, that would help mitigate this issue, is having dedicated servers. It is doubtful, however, that they would invest in that. -

@iBonafideScrub__PSN
Which explains why this has been an issue for us since '14. -
This is another reason as to why I avoid the multiplayer stuff with DD. I actually do want to play...but the list of negatives far outweighs any positives/rewards for it. Latency, WAAC types, terrible netcode...heck I remember when lag switching was prominent

Which explains why this has been an issue for us since '14.Correct, like you said. A ping indicator will be great or like I have been for years, ping based matchmaking.
If I care enough to have a good wired internet connection, I should be playing people in the same ping range as me

The biggest issue is lag comp hr those balls that just float right down the middle for the opposing player happens all the time
