Am I the only one who loves this year’s game?

My favourite part of each year’s game is the first couple of weeks when you need to build your team up from scratch
This is where you lose a huge chunk of the player base. At least from the sets and seasons aspects

I never cared much about card ratings, that is all relative anyway. I liked using certain cards throughout the year, sometimes in spite of the rating. What I dislike, is for my cards, that I earned, being expired from online RS games.

im enjoying the game. I wish there was more to play towards. right now I'm in a lull position for the 8th time this year - meaning no achievable cards/packs for rewards within dd. Team affinity just comes without a direct effort. Same with these weekly awards. Even though I'm playing, It's just kinda less than previous and other years.

My favourite part of each year’s game is the first couple of weeks when you need to build your team up from scratch and make difficult lineups choices. I booked the first day of S2 off work and it was insanely fun basically having a second launch day… I will probably do the same thing for the first day of S3.
I’ve also noticed positive changes to the gameplay since they tuned the foul ball frequency. I’ve seen much more realistic strikeout totals online since the patch.
Excellent game this year SDS, I wish I didn’t have to go to work and could just play all day every day.
Good post … agree 100%, except: If you did not have to work you would probably have more time to see that the game lacks content.
In 21 we had some awesome player programs (e.g. evolution), we had The Field of Dreams program, TA, POTM, Daily programs … there was way more stuff to do for everybody. RN you only have TA, Season Awards and some random programs that give nothing … Again, agree 100%, good game, but there should be more to make it a great game -
The gameplay itself in 24 is the best ever.
Diamond Dynasty in 24 is the worst ever.

In 23 every program release pre all star break was longer than any program released this year. Topps Now had twice as many earnable cards. Player of the Month had twice as many earnable cards. Programs often even had captains.
It started to go downhill after all the complaining about fathers day, but I wish they had found some way too keep the content but make more of it optional so people didnt feel the need to treat it like a second job.
Now you still kind of need to treat it like a second job anyway, but you get less than half the cards
Content was great in 2023, and it had mostly the same gameplay as 2024. Biggest gameplay change I feel is that MLB parks feel better to hit in, but otherwise its quite similar

I have no issues with seasons, right now it's the lack of programs I'mnot happy with. Looks like we are still weeks away from S2TA2. Just not releasing enough earnable cards for my liking. Gameplay is good though.

As a long time player of this game and major SDS defender, I deleted the game last night it's just fallen off so bad even I can't find enjoyment or tye ability to defend their choices.
-
royally p*ssed me off last night , server kicked me for the 4th time yesterday in mini seasons , its not my connection , and i never get kicked on conquest
-
I'm getting fed up with the constant server issues...3 times yesterday I tried to play a game vs CPU to grind Topps Now PxP. Got server-dropped in the 4th, 6th, then 9th innings...this is why I'm terrified to do anything BUT vs CPU, at least that way I'm just losing out on the XP, and not possibly a reward or anything.

It’s going to be Sports game of the year for sure again. SDS just keeps improving year after year.

I dont hate it, but i dont love it. It is the game that will make me stop playing the show year round.

@Teak2112_MLBTS I disagree with your content part on 23 … Because… Let me first state my vision for „good content“.
Content should challenge our time AND make fun AND give people cards to improve their team (or at least challenge them to do so). Rn S2 does not do that at all
MLBTS23 challenged our time, it was kinda funny BUT it seldom gave out cards to improve our team. And this forum (although most suffer from recency bias) was outrageous with this exact part.
Look back at MLBTS21 and the stuff there was (as I mentioned above). More times than not I had trouble to decide what to do first … Am I playing ranked? Events? BR? Every mode had something very good to play for. Or do programs and earn that Scherzer, Miggy. I wanted to keep up with daily programs to earn the reward … Hell that was good, 23 was not -
@YOSHI24_XBL the problem is they use to make the content too challenging and those of us that cant live the game were mired down in content we would never finish
-
@AdeptOfMemory_PSN Especially after last year when we had 99s pretty much right off the bat. Tough to wind back from 99's at launch to 99's every two months for two weeks if you play everyday
-
Bring back the inning format, and the rookies into diamonds by having player programs. Was so much fun.
-
I like the game in p much every mode other than DD. Even HR derby is more fun than DD & that mode is full of bugs online
-
I like it , I wouldn't say I love it . But I feel like I would be happy with any format . But maybe not. Maybe next year I'll be ranting every other day . ️

There are less things to do for earning cards (content), and those cards you can earn are lackluster (card quality)
