Is this a problem for anyone? It is getting ridiculous for me. Today I have lost FOUR games in the 8th inning or later while I was up 6-3 , 4-0 and 3-0, and 2-0 The other opponent had less then 5 hits in all 3 occasions. I’ve tried everything. Keeping my starter in, bringing in Kluber with full energy in the 9th, or just simply going with elite relievers. No matter what there is an error, 1 or 2 sawed off hits followed by a home run. Mix in a passed ball in there too. It’s actually unreal, it’s like you do not want to have a lead late in games. I’d say it might be me and my skill level but come on I can’t control these cheap hits, errors and good timing pitches missing middle. Is anyone else having this problem? Am I doing something wrong? Does anyone have any advice on how to seal these games up.

Going out on a limb here, but did you by any chance pick Kluber and Newhouser at Bronze 20 and Silver 40? I have a high level of confidence whenever Rollie Fingers takes the mound in the 9th.

Same. Had a game or two like that today. Decided to pull Newhouser in the 7th just in case even though he was pitching lights out and guy couldn't touch. Gave up 4 or 5 that inning. Plus another 2 later. No one could locate and evrytime ball sniffed the zone it got rocked.

I use my starters out of the pen. But I have by best luck bringing in Chapman. He has yet to blow a save

Just played 20 inning game, that could have gone further, but I decided to quit after he took the lead 4-3 in the top of the 21st inning. It was just ridiculous, the amount of bleeders and bloopers he hit all game, and the game shouldve ended long before it even went into extra innings. Can't tell the amount of solid contacts I hit, either good/good or even perfect/perfect that went for outs.

I don't believe in the comeback logic people talk about, but I can completely understand why some would believe in it.

I think it’s important to have players in their primary position at the end of games with the lead. It’s always helpful to have an elite blocking catcher so you can feel comfortable throwing all pitches in the dirt.

I think too many ppl populate their bench with the 5 best hitters available. Instead put 1 or 2 defensive subs to help you close out games.

If your gunna play good players with a shitty catcher it will force you to throw too many strikes and they will time one up late in games with elite hitters.

Late game scripted drama, if anyone thinks it’s not a thing they are not paying close attention. I lost one 7-6 that I was up 6-1 going into the 8th completely dominating. All the sudden pitches travel to the center of the zone, when hitting the timing window is much more lenient. Fully rested elite relivers or starters, same story. It’s just a matter of if your opponent or you will capitalize. Depending on who’s behind
