For those saying they’re not playing Season 2

I truly hope you stick to your guns as this is the ONLY way to assure seasons goes away after this year. If you voice your displeasure, Nomatter how loudly…But then go and grind Season 2 anyway then SDS will see you as compliant and not care what you say as long as you play. And nothing will change. The only way seasons goes is if enough people simply don’t play the game - THAT’S IT. Because complaining on forums or saying you don’t like it on a survey does nothing - absolutely nothing if you play anyway. That is ALL sds will care about and nothing will change.
For those that are playing season 2 - This post isn’t targeting you, Have fun. This is just addressing the people that claim they are quitting on Friday. Those are the only people I care about right now & REALLY hope they follow through.

I have no intention to play S2 at all. I literally just got Posada from a [censored] freeze off. Went 8 [censored] innings winning 3-1 then bam freeze off. Still got the Posada reward I legit thought I'd never see.
I am too attached to my cards and obsessed with deck building. I will be making another post soon about my recent build that isn't compatible with S2 or wildcards in anyway. I fully intend to play casual and any other mode that allows me to use my very modified decks.
I don't want to stop playing and the deck building is by far my favorite aspect of the game. I honestly spend more time building and looking at attributes with captains than I do playing these past few nights.

@YOSHI24_XBL I'll still be using him. Just not in ranked. That was his point. It sucks cause you don't get PxP outside of Ranked or conquests. Kinda lame.

I stopped playing for 3 weeks during season 1 because I was tired of all the packs and lack of programs. I came back to finish season 1. I was pretty happy with how they finished season 1. They gave a lot of the packs out for free. I’ll be playing season 2 but yeah I’m over the season format.
The game is in a really bad place right now. Content hasn’t been good, gameplay hasn’t been good. This isn’t a good sign for the game only being out like 3 months. This season will make or break this game so SDS better do it right.

@AdeptOfMemory_PSN PXP is earned in other modes besides ranked or conquests. Different amounts are earned by difficulty level. Yes, more is earned in Ranked Legend than in vs CPU Legend, but it’s still earned.

Most likely break it. The player base has a problem with seasons itself.

I play casual on legend and HoF. No. You don't gain PxP in casual.

You gain PXP in MS, vs CPU as well offline.

@yankblan_PSN My biggest complaint is not being able to gain ANY PxP in casual or co-op if you are not the host of the game.
It's odd that the reason is to prevent cheesing or over grinding casual for the PxP but they are totally ok with doing that for CPU games? Such a dumb thing to do. For players who have time to burn for that kind of grind offline is exactly how you'd do it. You wouldn't grind a non MMR based PvP mode if you wanted PxP fast and easy.
I also have zero desire to play offline against CPU as I don't have many hours to offer and I didn't buy a competitive sports just to play bots all night.
I am also not going to play offline to put time into a card for PxP only to not be able to use them in ranked anyways. It's the dumbest pigeon hold on XP I think I've ever seen. -

Plus as a married dude I gotta be able to pause if the wife asks me for help with something...which is almost a guarantee the second I sit down, right fellas? I've got extracurriculars like my own baseball etc.
Do I wanna play online? Yeah. But I don't wanna get my $hit pounded in and hate the game.

@Sarge1387_PSN I absolutely get that and live that same life LMAO so I feel you. I just don't enjoy sports games against bots. That's a personal preference too. I don't like shooters either against bots. To me it's just not rewarding. RPGs and adventure games are perfectly fine against CPU as that's kind of the whole purpose.
I just wish I could gain that PxP through casual. I build and test lots of cards and captain combinations and I feel very unrewarded playing 3 casual games in a row with no xp to show for it. Ranked and BR is mega sweaty and more freeze off prevalent than casual. So for me I have to play out of my normal genre if I wanted to gain the PxP.

100% agree with this take. To each their own but I work hard enough and have plenty of stress in my real day to day life so the last thing I need is a sweat fest doing online play. I get my competitive fix elsewhere and try not to take the game too seriously because in the end it is just a video game. Yes, I’m critical of the game because the downfall the past few years is tough to swallow. I love baseball and just want to play the game to have fun and not feel like my time is being wasted.

Sooooo what you mean to say is, SDS can't fix their queue system because we already have an invite your friends to a 1v1 and casual search queue is meant to find a random person. That's not a player problem, that's a poor development problem. Also, if you can break the queue system to randomly find your friends then the game is dead. Not enough of a playerbase if it does a random queue into your own friends.
Nice bandaid, SDS. Punish the players PxP from our game modes, add daily XP caps, and make sets and seasons wit power creeps to prevent stacking earned 99 cards. SDS only knows how to punish players. Not fix the issue. Wild.

not playing season 2 is cutting your nose off to spite your face , you already given your money to them , only not buying next year will ring your message loud and clear , i took last year as a skip year because you could not finish programs without playing multiplayer before , i despise multi , so i was sick of throwing my money at them , they had started loosening their grip on the cards it was not enough , so seasons is new to me , dont care for it , i think the energy would have been better utilized in shoring up game quality and function , this is like having a car that runs like Sh** and buying a $2k stereo system for it instead of putting it into making it run better , except at least with the car you would have nice tunes while you are broke down
