Anyone else underwhelmed with rewards?
-
I’m at 500k XP. From playing the game. Offline and online.
I don’t feel entitled to a reward for everything I do I the game, as I enjoy playing the game. -
@BJDUBBYAH congrats man, you are a simp for SDS, we get it. Most of would like our gameplay to have purpose though too.
I see where you are coming from. But it sounds really boring that being it.
You honestly can't say it doesn't feel more difficult to earn things this year. -
@captainwesker12 it sounds boring to enjoy playing a video game? lol
Okay
-
@BJDUBBYAH yea you are pointless to argue with. Enjoy being a shill for the game, you brain dead person
-
@captainwesker12 have fun mindlessly playing the CPU for over 100 hours
-
They’ll probably never be as good as packs ever again. Yelich is almost shockingly good from them tbh.
-
Last year: Early 99s killed the game. It wasn't fun.
This year: Power creep is no fun. These rewards are too boring. -

I'm only at 300K and have finished all programs, minus the last "egg," TA, all conquest maps, all storylines, half a mini season, and hit the 15K most days since early access started. Not arguing, just curious.

Despite what people will say to you, which I can only assume are their employees or pseudo employees (aka YTers or streamers) like the one who already replied to you
BTW, that may be the laziest argument in gaming right now and it has been for a while. The "I don't like something so everyone who disagrees with me is a shill, paid or otherwise" argument completely ignores the fact that there is no benefit to be gained by being a shill on this forum.
It would be like me saying that everyone who likes this years MLB The Show soundtrack is a shill because I find it to be absolutely awful. In the end it just boils down to different tastes.
To me, the person using that as an argument is far less reasonable than the person they are accusing of being disingenuous.

@Nauracy34 dude, we’re like not even 3 weeks in get over it lmaooo

@Nauracy34
There is a power creep so the rewards are relatively good, considering the other cards available.Regardless, this is better than last year when they would release a 99 in a Chase pack, then have us grinding for 97's.

Ahh, the game has been out 3 weeks so I’m not allowed to comment on the direction of the game? Got it. FOH

I don’t see why people are confusing this post as me disliking power creep. I’d rather have power creep than 99s day one like last year. However, last year we got several packs valued at 30-40k for free from grinding through conquests and other programs while this year we are only able to acquire those same packs by paying 40k stubs in the market. Throwing a fresh start choice pack in the egg hunt reward path or as a hidden reward in the new conquest would be awesome. And yes, the player rewards have been good, but 90% of player rewards earned on the reward paths are no sell cards. Without having those choice packs or anything sellable from grinding, you basically have to hope to have great pack luck from show packs to build any sort of stub count.

And also, there are 92s and 93s out right now, yet we’re grinding out for 91s. It’s no different in that regard.

@broken_toy1 my bad, 431k. Just got Jim Palmer.
-
I honestly think the choice pack rewards are just not good enough this year to give them away for free. If everyone got one for free in a program no one would buy them since they lack buying power.

If they know the packs are bad, they should probably put more daughter after players in the packs
-
What, you don't want to grind 400k XP for a unsellable cricket chirp stadium sound? Or how about a 535k XP 89 Trevor Story that will be outdated by the time you get it?
-
I am not overly excited by the content so far and I am not a fan at all of these 40K packs being introduced all of the time but I think we were all a bit spoiled last year.
Looking back at MLB 21. It released almost 3 weeks after the beginning of the season and the above cards were introduced on April 23rd of that year in a blog post.
The first three bosses were
93 Valenzuela
91 Piazza
93 LoftenThe first Topps Now programs players that year were 83-89 rated.
The first events big rewards were a 85 John Smoltz and a 91 Cabrera.
Headliners Set 3 pack that week was 91 Tim Salmon.
