XP Cap explained

@GreyOsprey4229 Gameplay in Franchise does give gameplay XP for DD. However, it doesn't affect the content you can complete in DD because the awarded XP does not count toward the gameplay XP cap. The awarded XP found in programs in DD is not "gameplay XP".
So anything earned through RTTS doesn't go towards the XP CAP?
-
@x814xmafia gameplay XP from any mode goes towards the gameplay XP cap. XP awarded for goals, missions, achievements, and anything XP that is not earned from gameplay does not go towards the XP cap.

Here's what bugs me about this XP cap and this will be my last point about this cause I want to see how this plays out for a few weeks and then re-evaluate it. The thing that gets to me is that SDS in the last feature mentioned XP stuff but not once mentioned the cap was 15k. I have to think they did not give the exact number of the XP cap cause it might hurt last minute pre-orders and just orders. If they really thought we would be understanding and really believed what they said in the patch notes they would have told us then and not after people are ticked off. I do believe they played dirty with the players NOT telling us and I am still not happy about it but again willing to see how it all plays out before totally losing my BEEP.
I want to have faith in SDS even if they have done things here and there that are questionable but it's becoming harder but still trying. I really hope my faith is not misplaced but we shall see in the coming weeks and months.

Most of the guys here will not reach the xp cap because they are too worried about crying in forums … I really like that SDS explains it, sticks to the plan and adjust from there … W

just annoying that the cap doesn't even let you level up once a day after you reach level 24 in the xp path, cause it goes from 15k to 20k a level, just a bad plan and design. Not everyone wants to play online.

Presumably there will be some program going on to fill the gap. TA, Topps now, player of the month, etc
We've been light on new programs in the preseason, but we will see how things progress now that the season is startingThere are a few things I don't like hypothetically, but they may not end up being a concern with how things play out

If this had been announced pre-release, over half the return customers would’ve opted to skip 2024. They’ll be losing a bunch of gamers next year if they keep the same philosophy. It’s not like this is actually a competitive online game. Players should be able to play the way they want while earning XP. Unless they had a couple programs per week with XP rewards, offline-only players are toast. I knew something was up during the release stream. It was so scripted and cheesy with few questions about gameplay answered. I heard the one developer mention xp gains during gameplay would be lower but could be altered along the way. I just suspected a disaster to start. Servers have been better this year after the first couple hours of early release, but everything else has been a letdown.
-
How about someone explain to me how long this reward path is, especially at 2,000,000 to get everything done at 15k a day "in game", then you won't have any time to use the 99's you got bc you can't use them next season like in last years game, except as wild cards. (up to 4 but they unlock at various stages of the xp reward path). Sounds like a HUGE waste of time
-
Which also should hold true for Ch 3 Affinity every season as well.
-
@mietha if they announced the cap before the game released? The XP cap has been a thing for years.
-
@Easy_Duhz_It_ this is my first year with the game, if i had known about the xp cap i wouldnt have bought it tbh
-
I just wanna be able to play with the GOOD players i grind for in XP reward path and other season 1 programs for a while before season 2 comes out, but all the good players are at the end and you can't use them in season 2 like last year. (only as ghost runners)
-
@internal-meat9 this should be a learning experience for you then. Visit the forums BEFORE launch, watch feature premiere streams, follow them on social media etc. Research before you buy.
-
Everyone is missing the major flaw here, bishing about stupid shiz
-
@Easy_Duhz_It_ yeah buyer beware i guess
-
If I had known about the XP shenanigans this year I would have sat out MLB 24.
-
Once again, it's not JUST the XP shenanigans but the fact that every season is like end game, you get the best cards but a new one comes out so you don't use them, it's pretty much pointless

You absolutely do not have proof about this, so why pretend you know …

I have played a handful of event games and finished the AL and NL Central Team Affinities along with AL West this week. The most xp I got from a CPU on Rookie game was 3446 and that was a double digit hit and run game. I can't imagine how I could ever hit the xp cap, is it via Ranked Seasons?
-
I actually never knew people cared so much about this xp. I always cared more about pxp personally, unless I was on the verge of a wheel spin last year.
And we still have no idea if we are getting more or less exp relative to the track itself until we see how the season plays out. They havent even released any programs yet which is probably where a large chunk of the track progress is going to come from.
It makes enough sense on paper, I think its fair to be very skeptical that SDS will get the balance right over the course of the season, but it is definitely true we don't have enough information to make a final call. We should see how far before the season end we are finishing the track before making a final judgment on if we are better off or worse off than last year.
