For years, I have been asking why MLB the Show won't let catchers be lefties. I feel this is discrimination. I was a lefty catcher. I had a rawlings lefty catchers MIT. In my opinion, lefties can be catchers, and should be allowed in this game.

Years ago you could put someone back there who was a lefty. They just threw right handed.

If you have a cannon and you’re a lefty you can probably bank on being trained to pitch. If that doesn’t pan out then it’s off to Right Field. If you don’t have a cannon then say hello to first base. One thing you can bank on never seeing in MLB is a left handed throwing Catcher ShortStop or Third Baseman and especially the last two because it adds time to your transition to get in position to throw which is enough to make the difference in the big leagues. I remember seeing a lefty play either second or third a couple of times but it was only for an inning or two due to an injury or an ejection. I think Mattingly was one of them but that was a very long time ago
