Wow I have a newfound respect for Jeter

I'm a New Yorker all my life. Been playing , coaching, and watching baseball for 50 years (not a typo, I am in my 50's)..And I am a Mets fan. So I got to watch Jeter come into the league, and while I generally hated the Yankees, there were always some that I liked. Thurman Munson was my favorite Yankee (what a tragedy). And I always respected Jeter, Bernie, Mariano, Posada , Guidry, Goose, Nettles, etc....but I hated most Yankees LOL
But watching the Storylines mode in The Show 24, really opened my eyes to the kind of person Jeter is. I really respect that dude. Seriously a great player, teammate, and really an all around team player. -
I totally agree, but I was impressed with him in his first season on FOX anyway. He hurt us a lot as Mets fans, but now I love the guy!
