Buy those Captain's packs!

I Highly recommend buying the packs in the store and not waiting to grind for them. I put Mattingly and Ford in my squad along with 14 other Yankees to get the tier 3 bonus. Basically filled the bench and most of the pitchers with any and all Yankees lol. I was surprised how much those bonuses really affected the players. The diamonds like Cole, Mantle, Miller, etc. all went up 4-5 levels, Ford and Mattingly both went up 6 levels. The only gold (Torres) went up 5 levels and all the silvers went up 7 levels. It makes a huge difference to someone like Holmes who went from a 79 and doesn't make the team, to a useful 86.

I bought Adam Dunn And Mondesi to Pair with Buxton Captain and they absolutly Mash! I pick up Gallo Cap too in the XP reward path.

I was surprised to see those packs in the store, and 25k per pack is very reasonable. What a surprisingly nice gift from SDS! It would take most people weeks to grind up to 225k xp to get both packs.

Same... Except I got Mondesi and Suarez... I went to get Dunn but realized too late that I could only get 2. :(.. I always do stuff like that with this game.... I need to slow down and read the details before acting!Now I am deciding on my 2 Pitchers... I have narrowed it down to Stroman, Keuchel, Darvish, Bautista, and Corbin.

What would be reasonable for a card that is a Diamond itself but can also boost every player if you wanted? They would be 15-20k on the market without being captains, some of the pitchers have comparables at the exact same price on the market lol. Must be that massive reward for collecting the Orioles.

I think or i know its a shitty cash grab by SDS. As described by above. Its going to take a long time to grind that XP. Yes, you don't have to BUY the packs i get it there a business Yada Yada whatever. Just seems like alot of stubs for new release. They want ya to Buy more Stubs on top of what we dumped on this game already

25K isn't bad when people were shelling outs hundreds of thousands of stubs for Captain Rollins last year.

@PAinPA They don't stack in that they don't have the same bonuses. However, yes both are active at the same time. Each has 3 tiers and each tier for both the hitter and pitcher captains have 4 bonuses (2 each for hitters and pitchers). So a hitter captain has 2 pitching bonuses and 2 hitting bonuses and vice versa. The bonuses for each different tier are the same attributes, each tier just increases their affect.
You can check them all out by clicking on the pack in the store or in the XP rewards.Very important: You need to activate your captains, any captains, on the left of your squad page and you can only have one hitter captain and one pitcher captain active at a time.

Yea but that was later in the game cycle, when stubs weren't a issue yea? Kinda different scenario here. Sds do what they like obviously, I'm sure im in the minority here . Don't mind me

I agree. I actually forgot they were in the store. I have the Dodgers completed and wanted Joc and Kelly. Saw they were in the store and said f it and bought them. Best 50k I've ever spent.

Yeah. But from what I understand; these will be the ONLY Team Theme (MLB teams) Captains they release. So if you can only get 4 per season, and you want them all, you'll eventually need to but some; unless they give packs away elsewhere.
