Before last season, Gallo was talking in interviews about how he was training on bunting so he could use it to beat the shift from time to time...he’s tried plenty of times. A squeeze? Not sure. I don’t watch Rangers baseball and I haven’t looked into it...but Gallo has absolutely bunted.

12 times in what 500 plus at bats. Like I said earlier in this thread There is options in how you can pitch so that does not happen. 99 Percent of people playing this game, would not use Gallo to bunt. Just saying.

Nothing wrong with using a squeeze play. I’ve had it happen against me, I was more mad at myself for not thinking about that and not setting myself up to defend it. You just tip your cap and move on.

It’s good baseball. I plays baseball my whole life, and in real life in a double header maybe you’d take one between the shoulder blades but GG. Moreover idc if I’m in a snooze fest pitching duel, If granderson is up with no one on, he’s bunting

The squeeze play is rage inducing, but not cheese. If people aren’t aware of that being a possibility then they haven’t watched enough baseball.

First off he has never sacked bunt in MLB. His bunts were for singles against the shift. Once again OP asked the question if it was frowned upon in the community. I responded depends who you do it with. OP brought up that the squeeze is a real baseball play. In real baseball Gallo HAS NEVER SQUEEZED BUNT. That is my point. OP or you can play however you want. Like I mentioned earlier I would have walked Gallo, and there is a way to pitch against the squeeze play. I do not care if someone bunts against me. i know it happens in this game so you have to be ready for it.

There is no debate here. If it’s allowed to be done on a baseball field, it’s fair game. I don’t care if he’s ever done it before or not. Henry Rowengartner never threw a floater until the last pitch of his whole career. There doesn’t need to be precedence.
