“Hitting balance remains largely unchanged.”
That sucks!
hitting was really good this past year, why change it?

@iBonafideScrub_
I hopefully don't think you want to make it easier?

Basically added a Splitter type motion to it. I don't even know what to say. Was this in the survey?
No, but sinkers are a problem … so maybe that is a way to fix it … I like it … same as I like to other motions … makes pitching more of a challenge (and maybe hitting easier)

As long as the pitch stays in the PAR circle on a perfect pitch, I don’t care what they do with the pinpoint drawing.

Many think that there are too many bad pci homeruns and too many foul balls. If those complaints are legit, then how is nerfing pitching, without correcting those hitting issues, going to improve gameplay? -
I love it. I’m glad they’re not messing with hitting, I think it’s a good balance. I think pinpoint was too easy for many to master. Hopefully it will take away what I perceive to be a significant advantage pinpoint currently affords over meter.
I also like them closing exploit loopholes. By speeding up fielder urgency, that should greatly reduce a lot of the ridiculous base running that goes on now.
I hope to see more off the mark throws from C on stolen base attempts including throws into the runner which result in outs, which are occasionally seen in MLB but never in this game.
And most of all, I hope they’ve instituted penalties for plug pulling.

(regarding online H2H)Playing games on AS seems to cause many of the issues that many have mentioned. For instance, using a Pitcher with outlier FB is not as effective on AS since pitch speeds are slower. In addition, on AS, the batter's PCI is so big, that a batter can just foul off countless pitches and hope for a "bad pci" homerun.
This is why I do not think that reducing the effectiveness of finesse Pitchers, who rely on Sinker/Cutter, will improve gameplay on AS. It may make gameplay worse.
If it were me, I would have created two H2H RS modes:
- AS gameplay.
- HOF gameplay.
...and people can choose which mode to compete on.

Until they can fix freeze-offs; they won't institute penalties for 'plug pulling' on regular H2H games.

No, I actually want outer pci gone so we can finally get rid of excessive foul balls and since it’ll be more difficult to reward good input more often, also want bunting to require to move the pci and some other things.

If those complaints are legit, then how is nerfing pitching, without correcting those hitting issues, going to improve gameplay?Bad pci HR happen, yes, mostly on bad/high elevation parks and/or when you do not execute your pitches.
As I see it, these harder motions make executing harder … so that more contacts/better results happen. That counts a towards bad pcis … but also on good contacts and should therefore produce more hits.
They did not say anything about nerfing some of the issues with exit velo on high elevation … maybe there on to that too?
