What are packs?

I just started playing diamond dynasty and I saw a bunch of them in my inventory. Like about 100. I have no idea what they are besides the fact they give me items. Do you get them from playing?

Packs are players, stadiums, uniforms, equipment, etc.
Their importance varies depending the mode you play. They are most useful in Diamond Dynasty. Equipment is important for your Ballplayer (RTTS and Diamond Dynasty) and you can even get Franchise sponsorship cards in packs.
There are lots of ways to earn them. Doing Programs, playing conquest maps and even just playing and earning XP which advances your progress in the XP program path which includes packs.
