Can we tone these cards down next year. I mean come on
-
Buddy has 19 hits with 99 Semien. 15 are home runs. It's getting really ridiculous
-
@SkunkyTrees1977
In a few weeks those position card ratings will not matter much when trying to hit Randy, Donaldson and Gibson every game. -
“Shield Woods”

@xElRojo44x
I'm talking about how they program these cards to be ridiculously overpowered. I don't think I've gotten Finest Bellinger out yet. Buddy last night was hitting .508 with 20+ homeruns with him. I don't know whether to laugh or cry anymore. The realism of this game has gone out the window.
-
@Dookie-Possum More stupid changes in my opinion. There are plenty of real stadiums to use. Creating parks where if you sneeze on a ball it goes 475 isn't fun to me.
-
If you want realism, go play regular Head 2 head online with real teams and rosters.
-
Your buddy probably doesn't see this as an issue. Lol.
-
@Bearsfan217 No. If I want players with boosted attributes I'll edit the rosters. There's no reason whatsoever that Kerry Carpenter has a better card than Lou Gehrig. 99 Lou Geheig has 101 power against righties.
-
I kind of agree with you, but I think the crazy attributes on cards is more related to the gameplay than anything else. There are so many variables going into determining the outcomes of pitches and swings etc that the over 100 attributes seem necessary for the game to work.
To work, “as intended”, I mean.

You are playing the wrong mode then

Aren't the Finest series supposed to be the Finest?
I do agree though. Finest Bellinger hit one 498 feet offline for me, and it wasn't a PP. -
I agree, it’s sad that current finest cards of some players are better than the legendary Lou Gehrig type cards.
I think it’s just a question of what there is a demand for. Certainly, the older player base would value a top tier Lou Gehrig, but I’d bet the majority of the game’s audience is more interested in current players.

@halfbutt
Yep. That’s the reason the true legends get neglected and the newest rookie gets multiple overpowered 99s. Classic flavor of the month, shiny new toy, never heard of that old guy type stuff. I’m not saying that young players can’t be exciting, but balancing it out would sure be nice.

Kinda like how Cruz, who batted .235 for the season, got a Finest card.

I’m sure they’re just catering to the 2024 cover boy. Lol.
That’s better than calling Yasmani Grandal a Dodgers legend. None of the Dodgers fans in my circle considers him a legend of our team.

And lower stamina if your gonna throw 103 for 7 innings.
-
It’s a video game.
Would you rather dead ball era or actually hit some nukes now and then.

Probably somewhere in between.

I can't wait to blast nukes all day long with the new Mazeroski card

I'm of the opinion now, especially with all of the 99 cards for every rookie and draft pick, that no Player who is in the Baseball Hall of Fame should be lacking a 99 overall card.
