What could season 5 and 6 offer?

My point (however inarticulately expressed) is that even if they were to drop a new legend at this point, they'd be of the extremely minor variety. (I think either last year or before, they debuted Vinny Castilla super late as well.)
Any ARod/Bonds/DiMaggio/etc.-level Legend drop is going to be done pre-release in order to hype sales.

Bonds wasn’t in the game when he was an active player so odds are there is no amount large enough. Jeter being in the game probably means no ARod until Jeter is gone and I doubt the guy who missed getting 100% by 1 vote gets canned from the game for a guy who probably won’t get into the HOF. Not saying ARod shouldn’t be in there, I’d vote him in but he likely won’t get in.
For the record, there were 3 99 ARods in the game in 16. Mariners, Rangers and Yankees

Seriously trying to figure out what high 99 cards we have not seen this year. The possible ones I can come up with are Jimmy Rollins, Lefty Grove, Rollie Fingers, George Brett, Cy Young , Reggie Jackson….Trea hasn’t had a 99 since season 1….Mays and Gherig have not have strong 99 cards since 2021.
I really have no clue how they will get this game off life support for season 5, the market is dead, online is dead…

I don't know, either. I'm bored. That's the worst thing you can say about a video game. I'm playing a little, but I've moved on to other games with my son. Which... is terrible because I could crush him at MLB, and I'm terrible at everything else.

There might be a little bump in the postseason or the finest program after that but those still seem far away for a game running on empty now. Besides, after this year's content I don't know how anyone could have faith that those programs will be bangers. It'd be hilarious if TA5 is the finest cards and they're all 97s again.
