What could season 5 and 6 offer?

I'm not playing the game much anymore so I just blew the rest of my 300k stubs 'fast traveling' to lock in McGwire.
Unless they get Bonds or ARod in the game, what is really left other than another lesser version of a card I already have?
I'm pretty much on Starfield, Cyberpunk and Diablo 4 now

We won't see Bonds. His price is too high. Maybe ARod...maybe, but not this year. I wouldn't expect any new players at this point in the game. Have fun with your new games.

Agreed, Bonds would bankrupt them lol. Yeah I rarely play 2 at the same time, but I don't think I want to grind anymore on this one

Set 5 should be the finest program I guess? Any other legends that don't have 99s yet, if there are any. I dunno.
Set 6 should be a tumbleweed theme. It will be fitting.

Do we get any new cards in Season 6? Will there even be a Set 6 or will Season 6 just be the forever season where you can use any card you want from any of the prior 5 seasons?

I imagine there will be a set 6. From here on out, the cards don't expire and all the previous cards will be eligible in season 6.

Right, which may be their whole appeal for Season 6 and they don't put any new cards out in a "Set" 6.... I should say their perceived appeal.

Bonds wasn’t in the game when he was an active player so odds are there is no amount large enough. Jeter being in the game probably means no ARod until Jeter is gone and I doubt the guy who missed getting 100% by 1 vote gets canned from the game for a guy who probably won’t get into the HOF. Not saying ARod shouldn’t be in there, I’d vote him in but he likely won’t get in.

I didn't realize Cameron was new to The Show this year. My bad. But, there is already another card of his that came out as set 3 and I meant that for sets 5 and 6 not to expect any new players.

My point (however inarticulately expressed) is that even if they were to drop a new legend at this point, they'd be of the extremely minor variety. (I think either last year or before, they debuted Vinny Castilla super late as well.)
Any ARod/Bonds/DiMaggio/etc.-level Legend drop is going to be done pre-release in order to hype sales.

Seriously trying to figure out what high 99 cards we have not seen this year. The possible ones I can come up with are Jimmy Rollins, Lefty Grove, Rollie Fingers, George Brett, Cy Young , Reggie Jackson….Trea hasn’t had a 99 since season 1….Mays and Gherig have not have strong 99 cards since 2021.
I really have no clue how they will get this game off life support for season 5, the market is dead, online is dead…

I don't know, either. I'm bored. That's the worst thing you can say about a video game. I'm playing a little, but I've moved on to other games with my son. Which... is terrible because I could crush him at MLB, and I'm terrible at everything else.

There might be a little bump in the postseason or the finest program after that but those still seem far away for a game running on empty now. Besides, after this year's content I don't know how anyone could have faith that those programs will be bangers. It'd be hilarious if TA5 is the finest cards and they're all 97s again.
