Have they given this responsibility to the off the street interns? Historically we have had some beautiful cards but Snapshot series train wreck aside ( that’s bad in so many levels), season 4 looks like it was done by my 13 year old who has no art talent at all.
Kluber’s award card should be beautiful but it looks like a photoshop troll job in quality.
Same with these new Race of 98. Design idea isn’t bad but the execution quality is embarrassingly awful.

Next year, for the LS cards, I'm guessing SDS will have all the players simply submit a selfie.
Edit: I just went in and looked. These are hilarious. Someone went a little nuts with Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V.

IMO, card art peaked in 2019 and slowly declined until this year when it dropped off a cliff. 2019 Finest (black background with broken glass) is probably my favorite artwork they’ve ever done.

Yeah, nothing will beat the original game action art style. Signature, Awards and Milestone are good too. But all that other mess looks bootleg

In the early 90s there was a card set called Topps Kids (I think I got that name correct). Anyway, they may just use the design of those as the Live Series next year if they don’t use them for something else this year.
