Maybe these people didn’t update the game and it’s letting them play? It does say “are you sure you want to proceed without the new update” and you can enter the game.

I wish I did. The game and company aren’t perfect, far from it. But it isn’t the absolute dumpster fire everyone claims it is.
It’s a fun game that I don’t always agree with and get pissed off regularly. But I still enjoy it overall.

It shouldn’t matter this much actually. Just beat him and move on. Eventually he’ll be forced to update then he won’t catch up.

Seriously wtf are you on about? I don't care if a player uses set 1,2 or 3. I can still beat them with core. Even more importantly, if you lose to a set 1 team and complain, that's a you problem.
