Still no word on better NLB cards?
-
I will have to pick up the slack and get them done then. I didn't even think about this. Thanks.
I completed these a couple weeks ago after I finished the affinity set, and really enjoyed listening to Bob Kendrick and learning about those I really knew very little of. It was a learning lesson for my 10 and 7 year old son. My wife kept asking, why are you calling it the NL? Because, that is what it is called, and she was able to learn also. I wish it was incorporated under the programs in DD, and hope they build off of it.

On Xbox only “2.10% of gamers” have the NLB Historian achievement. It is the 3rd most rare out of 25. In comparison, the most common is “To The Moon” with 65% unlocking. On PlayStation only 3.8% have earned it (82% have To the Moon).
Very few people are completing this program. As for the quality of the cards, they were good for a couple of weeks with this year’s terrible content model. Any previous year and every single person playing would still have many if not all these guys in their lineup.
That just means people aren’t getting them all. You can’t base anything off the trophy.

Isn't a little odd that the NL link isn't included under the diamond dynasty? It's like it segregation all over again. They have all the challenges, why not put it under the programs
I want to say they are under "Samford Green(e)", that is the name of the card series... don't quote me but that might be the name of the artist that created those cards, I didn't google it and just took a guess as to why that is the name of the series.

In fairness I didn't do Jackie Robinson until Jackie Robinson Day... eventually I'll get the others but once I started a NMS DD team I started spreading myself a little thin... I can't get to all the modes in the game (finally played RTTS again for the first time this season) and other games haven't sniffed my console since I got MLB The Show... last game I played was WWE 2K23 when that came out for the two/three weeks before The Show released which left God of War Ragnarok, Madden NFL 23, NBA 2K23 and the games I have access to on PS+ and EA Play collecting dust... lol

It is disgusting how they are treating the NL players. They had to wait YEARS to get acknowledged by MLB, YEARS to get in The Show…And now they hide them away in a mode that everyone completed in a day while we get 99’s of minor leaguers who haven’t done ANYTHING!!! This pisses me off SO MUCH!
Ok buddy, virtue signaling is about as offensive as what you claim to be angered at. How bout you act like an adult and make your case without pitching a virtual temper tantrum.
Isn’t accusing someone else of virtue signaling a form of virtue signaling in itself?
Kind of like, “My virtue is being against others who try to publicly display their virtues.”
Not picking a fight. I just think the term contradicts itself, if you know what I mean?
No, I’m not taking a stance on a particular issue or claim the moral high ground on a particular subject. That is what virtue signaling is. That dude was going way over the top with his stance on this particular issue as if to say that his position was the only correct position and all else be damned. It’s classic woke politics. As if the fact that SDS is taking their time with the inclusion of NLB players and content is akin to discriminatory behavior. It’s learned indoctrinated behavior and is why our country is so divided. This behavior only sows the seeds of discontent and divisiveness. It’s one thing to have an opinion on the matter it’s a totally different thing to shout down others or become violent towards those that might have a different opinion. That’s why I made the comment. It was inappropriate behavior and it should be brought to the posters attention.

That is the artist. I believe he did comic books for Marvel.

Never thought the Negro League players would get overshadowed like they have this year. Was really looking forward to their inclusion but it's been a dud so far. At least we have Giant insects and aliens in the outfield though.

Agreed, I do think they did a good job with Kendrick and these videos despite my previous post.

Yes, you can base “completing” off the trophy. People that have “completed” the program have the trophy.

That’s not what I was referring too. Correct people aren’t completing the program. I meant people are just going in there are just getting the popular players from the program. The program isn’t inside Diamond Dynasty itself so I’m not so sure many people either care or even connect it to Diamond Dynasty programs. There are some very stupid people in this forum.

Phew I’ve been trying to give this another go and, while full of wonderful anecdotes these moments are constructed painfully in comparison to our usual fodder, which I must now say that I prefer. The multiple xbh moments are a slog especially…wonder why you can’t simply skip to the action quickly? I mean you can skip right through the stuff that’s actually interesting but cannot start play until you wait thru the music for 5 seconds? I’m sure they meant well but it plays so much different than how the others do, to the negative. The extra steps/time to restart the moment just shouldn’t be
