I seriously think that online connection is [censored] in this game. I have games too where the fastball is coming in at legend speed plus sometimes on all star. I sit back and just laugh been playing this game for like 20 years I know when it's off. Total [censored]

Last night I couldn't even react to pitches. Also couldn't control pitches. I played HOF in the event and went 11-2 in one run. Hitting good and pitching good. Last night was a completely different game.

@Sooner55 same here. I wonder if someone has much higher Mbps then their opponent Mbps, speeds up the frame rate of pitch favoring the lower Mbps player? I was late on everything and finally got the fastball down in 99mph range now I’m more early then late. Can’t find that in between. Guess I’d rather be early then late if I make it to HOF speeds anytime soon

The elite on here will bash everyone that complains about pitch speeds or PCI size. To be fair, not all of them. But it’s always the same crowd on here that do.

I’m an above average - average player. I live in CS and at least compete for WS most months. I’m currently in CS.

Fastballs are faster than they have ever been. Unless you have a nice monitor you’ll have a hard time picking them up. Even then they are still overpowered. PCI is small so it’s hard to even get it on those fastballs.

One thing I’ve noticed about a good number of elite players. They are fantastic hitters and average - poor pitchers. So anything that keeps them in the driver seat they are going to want.

There needs to be a patch. It has to tone it back a little. Find a happy medium SDS.

When you constantly play people that hit in the high .300s-.400s how are you supposed to have a good era to be a "good pitcher"

    You just suck.

Somehow I doubt that though because there are days where I'm crushing the ball and days where I can't hit to save my life. This game is just completely random.

Wow the conclusions of a casual/noob. Dude, you aren't a robot, you're a human so you're gonna have good days and bad days....maybe there's a dip in your attention span because you didn't sleep well last night or your blood sugar level has dropped or maybe another physical/mental reason why you're slightly late on a fastball on that specific day....but being a casual/noob you're first instinct is to blame the game.

Maybe man, I'm glad you guys are seeing the same thing because in those games my opponent are early on all fastballs and I'm like no [censored] way are they seeing the speeds I am.

I go practice on legend and I’m fine. Get into RS and the Fastball just seems like a blur. And when I do square one up it’s an out. I think the game is in a bad place hitting wise

I don't know if I just suck (most likely the case) but I played a few games today and was swinging and missing at fastballs and getting late swing timing on the feedback when it felt like I timed it up pretty well. Again maybe I just suck but has anyone else felt this way?

I had the same problem since the hitting patch, i switch to analog and try and hit the other way and its worked wonders.

Don't listen to these other clowns. Thursday I was turning on fastballs and spotting most of my pitches. The last few days can't throw a pitch on the corner to save my life and pitchers look like they are throwing 120.

Mbps has nothing to do with it. You only need like 3 down and 1 up or so to play a video game. Mbps is how much information your network can take. Think of 3 mbps as being a one lane dirt country road and 1000 mbps being a 6 lane highway. The highway can handle much more traffic. Ping is king. Ping to the server is what matters in any online video game. Ping is how long your information takes to get to the servers and back. You can have 1000 mbps but if there are bottlenecks in the routing protocol or just a bad routing protocol you can have a bad ping. You can also have 3 mbps down and have a low ping. Problem is when you have 25 ping and you play someone with 150. All online video games have code for this but it doesn't work very well.

Did you ever play Battlefield when people were complaining about OOR (out of region players)? OOR people were coming into servers with their 300 ping sponging bullets and melting people instantly. Now apply that to an online baseball game where ms count. My ping on PUBG is usually 20 which is excellent. I don't know for sure but highly doubt my ping on MLB is much worse. Could be and I don't know it.

I'm an average player at best. I started out hot in RS. I think I was around 13 or 14-1. In the last week I have been getting crushed by everybody, no matter what their record. CY kluber getting drilled, prime oswalt getting taken to the cleaners. Meanwhile I can't even touch any high sinker of 94 or any FB over 97-98. I almost have to swing as soon as the pitch is released just to have a slim chance to foul it off. And I play on a monitor, not a TV. My record is like 16-8 now. Meanwhile my opponents are too early on 95+ and somehow still have the patience to wait on breaking pitches. I'm losing the will to lose. lol
