I get about 100/200k a day so i'm doing pretty well for stubs sitting at about 200k. Just tried my luck for Harper in the 40k pack (i never buy packs but figured i have the stubs so why not) and pulled him. If you have a good base starting point it's very possible to make lots of stubs flipping. Going to save my stubs up now so I can get that Mantle card o sorry Commerce Comet.
You just need to pull him from a free pack like I did.
Nearly cr@pped my pants when I saw it lol
Agreed, if only. Great feeling pulling a card like Harper out of a free pack though. Congrats
Plus Harper counts towards the program because he's a Kajiu card.
Well i pulled him in the free choice pack lol, once you get the diamond uniform pick right it's easy to get the choice right so I chose the the Phillies again and instant 100k.
I don't understand what you mean by "get the diamond uniform pick right". Does the player choice change based on what uniform you pick?

In the choice packs theres 3 options for uniforms, 2 of them will give you a gold player the 3rd will give you the headliner and a 3rd diamond option. However it is completely random so landing the diamond headliner still feels great.
Oh wow, I had no idea of that. I was hoping there would be a "right" choice to guarantee the diamond, ha ha!
I did get 99 Bryce Harper in a Diamond Duos pack on the weekend (kept him instead of selling for 100K).
And in another I got a silver uniform and 3 live diamond cards, all in the 85 - 87 range. It was stunning to see 3 blue cards in a row. Glad I was sitting down at the time.

I don’t even understand the market anymore. I still sometimes think a diamond is worth a quick sell 5k, which I know is not true. I don’t understand what determines value.

The quicksell value is based on the overall rating on the card. Here is a chart from last year:

I haven't invested or attempted to play the market in MLB in some years... I find that with how the market works most players are trying to offload their cards fast to get a quick stub return... I feel like you have to be a patient person to play the market/flip cards... me personally whenever I put a card on the market I match the lowest listing unless the payout minus 10% is less than QS, at which point I just QS the card.
If I was more patient I would price my cards "middle of the road" and wait it out especially if there is a run on that particular card you can make a decent amount of stubs by sitting your card in the middle instead of at the lowest price point but I haven't been that invested in that side of the game.
I think the only savvy move I made this year was pulling Willie McCovey in a Diamond Duo, and then getting the McCovey/Sutton round from the choice pack and picking McCovey since he was worth more. Posted and sold the dupe McCovey and just purchased Sutton off the market, although I probably should've just put those stubs towards finally getting Future Stars Alvarez but I figured why not just get Sutton since he was right there.
The app is great tool to use for flipping. Alot of great information if you know what your looking for.

I was making some stubs by playing the BR Program and selling off the 100pt Reward pack. But now since that pack is non-sellable; I guess I'll be making stubs by saving on BR entry fees.
-
I wait for pack sales to buy up diamond equipment and then list them to sell at normal rates when the stub sales occur. It's a long wait but it works.

yeah I use the app, I just don't have the energy to play the market.

This is the first year I'm not flipping, I have accepted that I don't need to chase every card (Had every single one last year) and trying to just enjoy the game
Thank God. I'm thinking watching paint dry on a wall would be more fun than flipping digital cards.
I semi understand the physical baseball card collector mentality because there truly are real-life profit opportunities. And, it's pretty cool to display a mint Mick Mantle in your man-cave or locked securely in a sports bar. But in this game no one really cares, surely wouldn't be impressed, but the person collecting the cards I wouldn't think
And, for sure, there is no value other than the satisfaction that you've accomplished some objective that no one else really would care about. And, don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with personal objectives. You, as an individual, own them and whatever distraction keeps you getting up every morning is righteous.

I finally learned how to flip cards at the end of last year and got pretty decent at it.
However, in this years game, I’ve yet to find any types of cards with more than a 10% buy/sell gap. I have quite a few cards I want to buy, but can’t seem to generate any coins.
Has anyone found a successful way to flip this year?
First, you need a decent starting point with stubs. I always keep at least 100k available for flipping, but you can start small and work your way up.
It's dead now, but when the new ranked season started the cards from the first reward pack (Brooks Raley) could be purchased close to quicksell value, and they had a really good profit margin. There were also a lot of transactions per minute. Margins are great, but they don't mean much if the card doesn't turn over.
I made a ton of stubs flipping that card for about a day, purchasing 5-10 at a time. I stopped for a while when there were some clear stub transfers going on (selling for over 200k) since I didn't want to get caught up in that nonsense, and then I rode it out until the margin dipped under 1k.
Since that flip got killed, I've gotten lucky with some early morning bubbles in some other player cards. I look for cards with a big gap at some point in the sell prices that isn't too far down, so it might actually sell. Example: 42.5 k, 42.4 k, 42k, 33k. These are more likely to go through over night when people have less patience. I wait for the price to recover in the later morning and then sell. It's a bigger profit, but more time committed to the one card. It's a decent method if you want to set and forget while busy with work.

Any high Silver and low Gold (77-82) used to be my bread and butter. I'd buy a bunch at QS value a few weeks before a new program would drop and then start unloading them as people would need them for the exchanges. Would easily clear anywhere between 500k-a million) when all was said and done.
Then SDS destroyed that method with their ridiculous exchange rates.

Flipping hasn't worked for me at all this year. The easiest way, for me, has been RTTS 2-way player. 12 different types and can sell perks and equipment. Only a limited amount though, and I'm almost done with almost all position and 2-way CAPs.

mate i am a broke peasant this year - just playing online to get stuff and selling off what i feel like - my team is sick this year and I already finished NL collections and most of AL
-
Do we think any of the NL gatekeepers will drop off 90/91? I need Verlander, Diaz, Betts, and Goldy.
Verlander has been awful so far this year
-
This year is really simple.. I have LS done and have nearly 3.5 mill free + I have Tatis JR charisma , Mantle, Trout, Crawford, Roki, etc...
Buy on Friday afternoon about 4-5 hours after the content is dropped. Then sell on Monday-Wednesday. To maximize your return concentrate on players 20k or less and are usable that are not at discard prices coming into Friday. Ex Devin Williams WBC was 17.5-18k yesterday and by M-W he will creep up to 23-24k range that's easy Hands off 3-4k profit per card. On Friday's when we get Player updates or stub sales these drops are bigger and you can capture bigger returns. Then just rinse and repeat.

Hey, I just sent you a DM. The margins are just now starting to open up but don’t stress that flipping is slow thus far. I learned how to flip halfway through 21 and came into 22 thinking I’d mastered the way to fund my game front the jump. But nothing really start moving for me until June/July. Once the All Star Game came and went, I was bankrolling my game by flipping without much effort once again.
