They could very well have a few 99 cards in the program that aren’t the POTM. I remember last year at the end Correa and a couple other players had 99s that weren’t the POTM. There’s a bunch of ways they can do it. Call me crazy but I’d love to see a Yoshida card in the program somewhere and a bunch of other guys I mentioned in another POTM thread.

It’s highly unlikely that the monthly lightning card will be a 99. SDS in years past would hold off on the monthly player being a 99 til later in the games cycle. Last year the first 99 monthly lightning card was Austin Riley’s July card. With that being said this year has been different with respect to 99 overalls. I’m just saying that if previous years hold true this months card won’t be a 99. It would more likely be like a 96 or 97. I guess we will all see come Friday.

If they want the card to be somewhat usable it has to be a 99. There’s multiple 99s at every position. Plus I’m assuming it will be a set 1 card which means it’s shelf value is already limited. If it’s not good it’ll be pointless.

Jorge Mateo will 💯 have a card.

Also wouldn't be surprised if Dubon got a lower level one for a 20 game hit streak.

I liked his All Star card for a bit last year. I think Chapman gets the Lightning card and the two you mentioned will be 2 of the higher POtMs. But I could be wrong, in fact I’m almost always wrong.

Glad to see Acuna back in his dominant form.
Hopefully he gets a good card, and his Vision and Reaction are above 60.

I still doubt that he gets a POTM card. He is a prime candidate to receive a some other 99 card. Actually the same could be said for Cole and Kershaw and maybe even Hader.

But with the change to the DD format and SDS releasing so many more high overall cards this year there is no telling who they will actually include in the program

By the way his Charisma card is a 97 and has 75 vision. Reaction is still low on that one too though.

Yep, and Kersh will probably get a 200 Win Milestone card. I do hope Acuna gets into the 40-40 club this year.

Kershaw over Gallen? Guess he was a little better.

Acuna has a 97 Charisma and Chapman has a Diamond Henchman card but i I had to venture a guess it's in this order - Kershaw, Chapman, Acuna.

    I predict 2 99's and the lighting also a 99, so 3 in total.

    I like this idea.

I think if it’s just one it should go to Matt Chapman but I could see them giving it to Acuna because he just got a 97, and I’m assuming the second tier will be 97.

But if they do what you’re saying they could both get 99s.

    Otherwise I’d say
    Lighting POTM- Acuna

    97s-
    Matt Chapman
    Gerrit Cole
    Sonny Gray
    Jorge Mateo

In general I hope there are more than normal. Other players that deserve cards- David Bednar, Luis Arraez, Kershaw, McClanahan… so many.

Is it too late to guess? I’d say Chapman :).

Who is everyone looking forward to using? I want that Johan Heim card. His live series card is pretty darn good and a Switch hitting Catcher
