I am officially swearing off Showdowns. Tried to get some extra points in the Icognito program, figured I’d give the Showdown a go.
It has literally been like EVERY Showdown I’ve done this year. I make it to the 3rd/4th guy and fail. Usually with the winning run on 3rd.
I take pitches, only swing at strikes and sac bunt. Nothing works. Meanwhile, CPU is a team full of gold gloves. (But, you all know this)
Until I read that SDS lowers the difficulty on Showdowns, I’ll be passing on them.
I don’t understand why they make them so difficult and so frustrating. Literally, post on top of post about this.

IMO,I thought the first 9 or so weeks of the Weekly Moments were very straightforward. In that if you played “regular normal” baseball with them, you were successful more often than not.
The last couple of weeks, these have been like Topps Now Moments. Just unnecessarily difficult.
The number one thing I would remove from this game is any and all Moments. I wish there was a way to finish Topps program without having to touch them.
Anyway, my daily Moment rant is over!

Lou Brock was easy enough, double to the gap he has speed for days. The Oakland Athletics moment however..... finally started using my bench because the guys the A's have starting just weren't cutting it.

I struggled a little on the Vlad SR moment but that is to be expected with a 6 TB moment against a sinker/changeup pitcher.
But the moment that made me the saddest was watching 99 Matt Holiday walk to the plate in a Rockies Uniform.

Me too. Suarez throws SLOP. I was sitting Sinker most of the tries. Maybe 25 minutes on this!

Not stuck in a Moment, but...
That Andrew Abbott guy is so slow in getting through his windup and in his Moment we are only allowed one walk but have to pitch two innings. So, in the second inning, I give Yelich an IBB so I could pitch the inning from the stretch. However, the game doesn't like that, so they have Yelich steal on the second pitch of the following batter and gets thrown out. I had to finish the Moment waiting for the loooong wind up. I did get through it the first time, so I'm glad I didn't have to do that Moment multiple times!

I saw this earlier and when I got to this Moment, I was like "oh no, this is not going to be fun!". First AB - first pitch, hanging sinker...gone! Second AB - first pitch, hanging sinker...gone! Whelp, that was easy!
You had me scared for no reason! Of course, Moments are different for each of us and I got lucky with two hanging sinkers! Then Vlad Jr Moment, first pitch..same thing and same result! -
Totally breezed through all the Father's Day moments and the first June Topps.....then Will Benson said hold my beer I'm gonna make you forget about Jake Burger.....gave up yesterday and took about 30 tries today. My recommendation is just set the PCI low, just wait for a low cutter and use normal swing.

It made me sad to see that the 99 Holiday card was a Rockie and not a Cardinal, especially since the Cardinals theme team is losing two 99 outfielders come season 3.
