Face Scan “Closed” IOS App

Anyone come across the Face Scan feature being “closed” and not available for use after the IOS update yesterday? My son has the app but this feature says “closed” and can’t be used. Thanks!

Howdy,
every once in a while the Face Scan feature will be "closed" for a brief period to allow updates and maintenance.
Some accounts will not be able to utilize the feature due to legal constraints. -
My sons account was listed as an account under my username. But I changed all of his settings not to have restrictions. Is there a workaround?

Yeah my son is 12 and he’s under my PSN family management with no restrictions. Still saying closed after patch 1.02.

simply put, this feature has legal constrains beyond a guardian's consent. We must prioritize safety and compliance with regulations, especially when it comes to minors.

So what’s the driver to determine whether or not the option is available? In other words, how is the game determining if an account is a minor child?
