The real Todd Helton

He never was an insane power hitter though. The year you pointed out was absolutely insane. But he only hit 40+ HRs twice in his career playing in one of the most HR friendly parks his entire career.
He was a doubles machine with phenomenal defense. Incredible eye, plate discipline. Seemed like he was always having a 10+ pitch ABs.
But his 2000 season was an all time incredible season and if they give him a card for that year he will be insane. It’s not guaranteed though. Look at Andruw Jones last year.

Slugging is taken into account, his doubles buff that number

The Real Todd Helton was a really good hitter on the road, but an absolute god when in the confines of Mount Coors. They may use more advanced stats that take that into account, and "nerf" his numbers
Then are you going to nerf every single player that hits better at home than on the road because yelich still has 100 power against righties

No, but when the disparity is as great as it was for Helton (for example, .280~ away from Coors, .345~ at Coors), it may make an impact. It may turn a quad 100 card into a triple 90. Though He may get an award card which would get some juice as well

You don't control where you play, most guys don't play as well on the road and they don't discount guys for taking greenies or juicing so why would home park be a factor in ratings rather than performance?

Because the more advanced statistics take park factors into account. the OPS+ and wRC+ of the world do exactly that, as well as adjusting for the overall offensive environment of the season. If someone hit 50 doubles say, in 2010, that would be a lot more impressive than it was when it happened last season

Giambi's 2000 card was rated a 95 in MLB19.
Giambi had a 7.8 WAR in 2000.
Helton had a 8.9 that year. -

Helton had a 8.9 that year.Giambis overalls are generally boosted because he plays 1B. Where Heltons ratings aren’t stereotypical 1B ratings. Helton has much lower power and very good defense. Defense doesn’t knock 1Bs that much so it’s hard to compare the two.

I can't wait for a Larry Walker card!
