No audio

Zero audio coming from game. When I start my PS5 I have audio. When I start MLB 23 not only does the game have no audio, but my whole ps5 loses all sound. Once I close MLB the system returns to acting like normal. Never seen anything like it. Have uninstalled and reinstalled twice.

Did you press the mute button? A DD player told me to say that.

There is something weird with the audio in the game. I regularly have the same issue (it even happened last year). I can have sounds in the PS5 home screen, start MLB the show and the sound goes out during the splash screen and then I will have no in game audio. If I quit the game then PS5 sounds normally will come back.
So far I have found that the following works for me if it has no sound.
- Start the game and get to the menus.
- I turn off my TV which also sets my PS5 to rest mode (I think it is an HDMI thing)
- Once the ps5 in in rest mode I start the PS5 which also turns on my tv.
The game will already be running, thanks to rest mode, and the sound seems to work since I don't have to go through the splash screen again. They are doing something strange in the background during that splash screen (maybe changing the audio mode or something).
I believe I even submitted a bug for it last year but never got a response.
Oh and I use a soundbar if that matters at all. -
Currently experiencing the same. I have audio on boot up of game, in menus, then go to my RTTS and lose audio. I'm on an Xbox One S. Also it runs terribly on the older console gen I MIGHT be getting 30 frames lol
