Sliding Decisions

The only options are “assist” and “on”.
Even with “assist”, if I want to slide head first, I slide feet first. It seems to happen when I get a good jump too.
Is there not any way to just do the slide I want without the cpu being involved?

Do you press the L1 button too now when sliding? I think it’s L1. New button press added to sliding input, along with the right thumb stick tilt.

I’ve always just used the right analog to indicate the direction for the slide. Has that changed?

There’s a requirement to press L1 now as well. I think it’s L1, I’ve only been pitching so I’ve not used it yet. There’s another thread here somewhere about it. Maybe it’s also in the in-game controls guide?
