I am very happy with the inclusion of the Negro Leagues, but I haven't seen Josh Gibson? Did I miss something in their reveal or will he be a guy for next "season" as they described it?

He wasn't listed in the players they announced for the program.

Josh Gibson must have been an absolute stud. He is credited with hitting "almost" 800 HR's in his career and since he died of a stroke at 35 years young, imagine putting up those numbers in that short of time. I hope he get's included at some point.

Hopefully he’s a big reveal later. I’m very happy to see the Negro Leagues added, but it would be a real shame not to have Josh Gibson.

Yeah, it is still a mystery how this mode is going to be presented. When they say "season," does it indicate there will be another "season" released later this year or are they alluding to future games in the series?
The idea of making this program a collection with a player like Josh Gibson being the end reward sounds pretty awesome!

Hopefully, Josh Gibson will be included in future games. He would have been a great addition for this inaugural Negro Leagues season, but can't have everything you want I guess. Babe Ruth is the most famous baseball player of all-time and I'm pretty sure it took him a few years to finally get added to Diamond Dynasty.

Yes, Babe Ruth was introduced in 2018. But, if you are going to include the Negro Leagues for the first time ever, how do you not include Josh Gibson was my initial thought? There are some names in this program who I feel like are not as obvious as Josh Gibson, all due respect to each of those players.

I’m sure the 8 players listed are the ones who have storylines but it’s very possible there will be more than just 8. My guess is Josh Gibson is a reward or a higher tier storyline after you’ve completed them.

I'm not too sure about that to be honest. If you had Josh Gibson, wouldn't you use him as the poster boy along with Satchel Paige and Rube Foster?

I suppose, just seems like they would add to it as they go along the season. Especially with collection rewards. But I’m completely speculating.

I agree, but we still have two trailers to see if there may be some surprises.
Josh Gibson being included would of course be incredible, but I don't think it necessarily makes or breaks the appeal/significance of this featured program especially if there are plans to build upon it in future installments. Always need to leave them wanting more.

I agree. It's like doing an all-time Yankees program but not include Lou Gehrig.

He is a big omission for sure. Assuming that the rights to all of these players are also done on an individual basis just like the MLB Legends, I wonder if there were issues acquiring his likeness? Were they unable to make contact with his estate or was there maybe just no interest on their end? Not trying to give SDS any excuses, but some of these things may be out of their control.
I am sure they are very aware of his superstar status within that era and wanted to have him in the game, but if they aren't able to get the rights to one player does that mean they should just never do any Negro Leagues content because Josh Gibson in unavailable? And this isn't coming from a sense of complacency, but I'd rather have what we are getting with this new Negro Leagues program than nothing at all because it is LONG overdue and the door is still open to expand on the roster in the future.

Oh I didn't imply any of the sort. I'm happy with the addition. Just prefer it to include all the superstars, Josh Gibson imo is not just any other Negro Leagues player.

I would place a bet on Gibson being the 9th guy (every team has 9 guys in their lineup
) they reveil some time later (in the upcoming weeks)
