Will the captains edition be available for xbox series s?
-
Why wouldn't it, wasn't the deluxe on xbox last year?

NOTE: The Captain Edition of MLB The Show 23 on PlayStation consoles include both a PS4 (disc) and a PS5 (voucher download code) entitlement*. If you purchase MLB The Show 23 physical Standard Edition, you will only have access to that version of the game and will not be able to upgrade later. However, if you purchase the digital version of the Standard Edition (PlayStation or Xbox) you can upgrade for $10 USD.

Yes. There isn't a link for it on the playstation page, but it says playstation/xbox

On the Xbox, when I read the fine print, it said the captain edition only came with the physical disc and not a digital code. I would love to buy the physical copy, but don't want to use a disc. I also have two Series S, so I wouldn't be able to play on that.
Happy to be wrong.

Look at this page - almost all the way to the bottom, it says dual entitlement. That means there is a last gen disc you install with and a code you upgrade to next gen with.

If you buy the Captain's Edition, do you get the Jeter artwork on the screen when the game is loaded or Chasholm?

If it's like in past years, the artwork in the game (game icon, loading screen, Show packs, etc.) is the art on the base game.
