Baseball Star, best baseball game ever, had the Lovely Ladies
I remember playing that game back in the day lol. I think it was actually called Baseball Stars. Had a ball blasting homers with some female characters.

Not everything has to be inclusive to everybody.
That’s not a hateful, racist, or sexist statement in any way. Some things are just fine as they are.

No, that's not, wanting realism isn't any of those things, and I get that argument. I don't think you've said anything wrong or that your opinion is wrong,
But the other guy saying "This is a major league baseball game, not a fruity unicorn baseball game." Is sexist. -

You realize it’s just an option is all anyone is referring to. No one is implying that women be forced into rosters. But having the option to do so should be available for anyone that wants to do it. I enjoy having the option to edit or create fictional players on my teams or myself onto MLB rosters. Same principle, Baseball isn’t baseball only because men play it. If I edit pitchers to only throw knuckleballs and change ups or alter their fastball sliders I can change this game into Major League Softball too.

That might hurt the simulation.
OK, but 4'11 300 lb 45 year old CAPs are super realistic.
Dont you judge me!

It was the same logic when CoD WW2 came out and had female players: but immersion! But anachronism! Yep, in WW2 you could run around, regardless of your platoon and shoot at will, recover full health after 5 seconds when critically injured... if True immersion was a thing, shooters would include crapping your pants when facing the enemy

might be sooner rather than later, the girl that won the Little league WS MVP a few years ago is 16 or 17 now, and still plays and is planning to play in college

Mone Davis? She’s actually a freshman in college playing Softball for Hampton University

There's no reason too.

I must be remembering from a while ago.
but then it makes the possibility even sooner, I read or heard that she intends to try for the draft. -

Rather than continue with a pointless back and forth how about we just agree to disagree? I support the idea of having women in the game not as some Me Too driven agenda but purely from a creative standpoint that has validity whether someone wants to acknowledge it or not. No harm no foul.

They might be just fine for you. And everyone is entitled to their preference. But to have a preference that someone isn't allowed to make a created player look like them is kind of possessive.
If this game came out in 1939, the logic behind this argument isn't much different than the opinion that black CAPs shouldn't be allowed because it's "unrealistic".
People who are enthusiastic about baseball should be able to create a player who looks like them. There are millions of women and girls enthusiastic about baseball and softball.
It's an oversight not to allow them to fully immerse and have their own realistic sim because things are "just fine the way they are", according to a group who is actually able to make their CAP look like them.

Fun is the reason

I never understood why in the US girls are required to play softball past a certain age or in college; why not have them play baseball? That is the definition of institutional sexism and basically contradicts Title IX, no?

So many virtue signaling sjw snowflakes showing themselves. Jesus can you beta males give it a rest.
Lol, I’m a man, I hate women. Good argument bro
-
Isn't it ironic the ones that call other people snowflakes are the ones that get most offended? Like, man, it must be tough to go through life worrying that some woman is playing as herself in a single-player mode. I feel for those guys struggles, it must be tough
-
I see no reason why this should be a problem at all. I mean there's even a female bench coach for the San Francisco Giants now. If in 2020 we still can't have a option for someone to play a RTTS as a female then we haven't really changed have we. Who is it hurting anyway. MLB The show is and should be for everyone like it or not.
